Hi!

Hope I'm asking this in the right place... I'd like to sign my ds up for both of these activities and I'm not sure how to go about it.

Does anyone know? Do you call the hotel - the Grand Floridian (I think) or is there a central reservations number for any and all reservations?

If you can't tell this is our first time! In any case, we're going in May and I'd love to get him a spot .

Thanks for any advice :).

Stephanie

Hi -

We're going in May too (4/28-5/7) and I just signed DS5 up for the pirates cruise for May 5th.

Call the Priority Seating number (407) WDW-DINE. You'll need to use a credit card too. The price is $24.95, it's charged to your card 2 days before the event and there's a 48 hr. cancellation notice (or maybe it's a 24 hr. notice - I've lost track!). Must arrive at the GF marina at 9:45am. It's only offered for 3 days a week - Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays if I recall correctly.

Looks like so much fun!:)

Schatterjee, an excellent source for PS information is ScottWDW's "PS Planning Guide" website. Here's the link to the "PS Calculator" portion of it: click here to go there. The children's activities at the GF may be booked 120 days in advance. If you'd like to view some photos of those events, here's the link to my on-line photo albums: click here for my main album. Just look for the appropriate ones (they're under the "GF's Children's Activities" heading).

Janet2k,

Thanks! The photos were great and I loved the calculator website too!

I really appreciate all the information!

Thanks again,
Stephanie

Janet2K:
Awsome photo albums! Thanks for sharing. When did you visit all the resorts (over how many years)?

Pam

I signed my DS4 up for the pirate cruise on May 12.

Was told the cruise was from 9:30 till 11:30 and he had to be a the marina by 9:15. Was told this was a new schedule being implemented in May.

Now I read different.

Hey, gang, you’re welcome (regarding the links that I posted). I have been visiting WDW for a few years now and oftentimes make two trips a year. I am a DVC member (Disney Vacation Club – Disney’s own time-share), too, so that gives me an excuse to visit my favorite place (almost) as often as I’d like.

As with all things Disney, please double-check on event starting times upon your arrival at WDW. If you looked at my Pirates Cruise album, you would have noticed the photo that I have in there of my daughter, niece & nephew being shuttled over to a Pirates Cruise that we almost missed due to the GF concierge having misstated the event’s starting time on my vacation itinerary. I don’t know why the GF Marina CM’s decided to give my three little ones such incredible shore-to-shore service, but the Disney fairies were definitely smiling upon us that day. Since what they did for us is truly a once-in-a-blue-moon experience, I have learned my lesson and always re-verify everything upon my arrival. I now try to leave nothing to chance, and hope that others will learn from my experience.

I hope all the children have a wonderful time on the Pirates Cruise, whenever it starts!
