Kidnapping caught on tape

They started the "Amber Alert" for her last night around 8pm - it came on the TV. Our dispatchers (AAA tow truck dispatchers) announce the Amber Alert over the airwaves every hour to our drivers in the entire state of Florida and this particular case they are announcing it every 30 mins in the surrounding Sarasota area.

I sure hope they find her safe real soon!! Poor kid, I can only imagine what she is going through right now.

I, too, was struck by the clarity of the surveillance video. Usually they are a lot more grainier than that. Thank goodness it was functioning at the time of the crime. So many aren't! With all the techniques the FBI have, chances are good that they will be able to put a name with that face. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

That's horrible, those poor parents. I recommend to everyone here, put yourself and your kids in martial arts/self defense. I've been taking classes since last year and I'm so glad I did. It's important to know how to defend yourself, not matter how young or old.

The girl and her family are definitely in my thoughts and prayers tonight. I just went into my son's bedroom and gave him an extra hug and kiss. I feel so lucky to be able to do this and hope this girl's parents find their daughter very soon!
