Bawled. Like. A. Baby. How was Rock of Ages? Brett Michaels said the lead character is a mix of himself and Axl Rose. What a fabulous train wreck. :thumbsup2[/COLOR

Brave was really good. I know the reviews were mixed but it felt a little old school Disney to me. Lots of fighting like in Sleeping Beauty. I cried. They made fun. Par for the course. :crazy2:

I'm looking forward to seeing Brave, it will be a guilty pleasure on the cruise for sure. Unless it's on the beach at Vero! A distinct possibility I hope.

Rock of ages was interesting. Very cheesy and campy but ultimately a lot of fun. Tom Cruise was outstanding actually, and Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand, absolutely hysterical. We both thought it started out a bit too cheesy for our tastes (would have liked to warm up to that part) but it grew on us, probably me more than Jeff although he LOVED Tom Cruise in it.

It's PG3 and definitely should really be rated R. I'm really glad Jeff read reviews and we nixed a plan to take the kids with us, very inappropriate for them and I can't believe it got away with a PG13. Lots of nostalgia on the music for both of us and definitely quite a bit of humor since that was "our" age.

Thank you for your reviews ladies. I think that Scotty and I will definitely go see Brave tomorrow. I think Rock of Ages can wait until we can rent it.

Sadly, I will have to wait for it to come out on video unless I want to see it solo. I'm really looking forward to it after John Lasseter talked about it at last year's Expo.

:ccat: 110 days until WDW!!! :ccat:

Do they have a movie night on the cruise? :cloud9: If its outside, I'd die from nirvana! I really wanted to do a movie night during our next WDW trip but I don't know how to squeeze it in. I know they show them by the pool at SSR.

I like the *actually* after Tom Cruise. I'm glad he did well. I liked him for a while and then he went all rogue and weird and it seems the quality of work went down with his personality. I love a good come back, hope this is his. Alec Baldwin is my all time favorite. Thanks for the warning. I debated on taking the kids after camp and Arizona and I'm glad you told me. It's a fine line between R and PG13 anymore. And I'm painfully liberal. :scared1:

Did you see it? Did you cry?

He dedicated it to Steve Jobs. As if I wasn't already bawling. It's really fantastic. Joshua said it was kind of scary. The lesson is loud and clear. :thumbsup2

Great pre trip report. I'm also going back in October next year, can't wait:)

Thanks and :welcome: I'll have to check out your blog. I love a good Disney blog. :thumbsup2

Gab and Joshua left for camp today. Chloe's is baby sitting. I went to lunch with a friend, for 3 hours, and now I don't know what to do with myself. :rotfl2:looks like I'll finish reading up on the F&W festival as well as MNSSHP. I'm totally behind on my research.

We did not go today. The bicycle came first. So he says oh we can go on Friday or Saturday after the bicycle race or...... Yeah, it isn't gonna happen.

I'm sorry. Go without him. ;)

Meh, I'm over it now. I am just mad. He was going to hang out at the bike shop all afternoon so he could go on the team ride and then the team meeting. He thought the text telling me at the shop was going to be enough. Not. He is worse than the kids. I swear.

Men.

Exactly!!

So, I have started looking into next summers vacation. Scotty and I want to do something different. I love the Mc Cloud/Burney in northern California so I have been looking at places to rent. It will cost about the same as Disneyland in the long run. This is a compromise because I do not want to camp in a tent. I did it for years, I don't want to anymore.

No camp tenting for this girl anymore either unless it's on the beach. I'd rather not go if it entails a tent. I've never heard of Mt Cloud, I need to Google it. What's the draw? Are the houses expensive to rent?

This is McCloud. Some are reasonable and some are totally outrageous. I am looking at a place near Burney Falls too. They are close enough to each other it will work.

This is Burney Falls.

That looks so cool. I love that they'll cook for you! :thumbsup2 It's really not expensive to me. Maybe Disney has ruined my what's considered expensive barometer? I bet it's gorgeous during early summer.

No to me this was a good price. There was another that was like $2300 for 5 nights and I thought that was Disneyland high.

Yeah, it looks super reasonable. Will you have them cook for you? I think it sounds so neat especially if there is fishing nearby. You can catch your dinner. :thumbsup2
