Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I admit I like to plan waaaay early. DH thinks I'm nuts and my geek factor is at all time high. He says that now but then thanks me profusely for planning an amazing trip. What are you planning for 2012?

I like HMH much more myself. I think that there is something cute and refreshing about it.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of our favorites. It incorporates 2 of the best times of the year- can't be beat.

178 days until Disneyland at the GVC!!! ​

Looks like neither child will be playing soccer at the Turkey Shoot however we are still going to CA and for Thanksgiving now. As of now we'll arrive, driving of course, on the Wed before Thanksgiving, celebrate the holiday, enjoy the beach, etc....We'll check in into the GCV for 3 nights starting that Sunday, enjoy 3 days at Disneyland, and then head home Nov 30. I'm wait listed for the GCV on Nov 30 and Dec 1 and will worry about talking DH into more time if those days come through but for now we are looking at an 8 days vacation which is great by me.

That should be a lot slower that last year at this time for sure at Disneyland. I am kind of sad my AP expires tomorrow and I am not getting another trip in before it expires and no trips in the planning right now. Boo.

I'm super stoked. Not sure we really need the waitlist at this point. I realized we won't drive straight through on the way home. We'll stay the night in Vegas which means the trip will be 9 days. I'm not sure Michael will agree to much more than that. I'm going to keep the waitlist going though just in case. I can cancel by July 31 and be able to bank the points.

Not. At. All! I think it's a great idea. DH and I were talking about an adults only trip to WDW. It doesn't matter where you like to go as long as you get that one on one time.

I know the feeling. Disneyland during the holidays is the most magical time. I love all of the little touches like the Mickey wreathes around the lamp posts especially NOS. Sherry E on the Disneyland boards has a terrific holiday super thread.

I may have spoke too soon about the soccer headache: Gabby's new team might want to play in the Dixie Invitational which is down in St. George, Utah. The tourney is Nov 25-26 dammit which means we'd have to leave straight after the games on the 26th to make be able to get a full day at Disneyland on Nov 27. I know I should be happy they want to play but I don't want some lame half day at Disney especially if the wait list doesn't come through.

It's not all that exciting but the beds were comfortable. I was not overly impressed with the hotel though. The free hot breakfast was a great perk.

I think that free breakfast is a plus for sure if it is good. I am not a continental breakfast fan.
