That is why I wasn't sad when it was still down when we were there. I can not stand his voice.

I read somewhere that there had been a fire in there so they were taking advantage of that time to do their magic on it.

Anyone have a link for the Animation Studios? It sounds like it will be an option for parties of 5+. Before DVC our options were to cram into the POR, rent two rooms, or break the bank on a Deluxe room that are honestly too small for 5 anyway; another option will be welcome for larger familes for sure. :thumbsup2

I don't have a link but I will dig around and see what I can find. They will be mostly suites and I know that they are scheduled to open next year and you are not yet able to book them. I know they are going to be Nemo, Cars, Little Mermaid and one other them I think. I will be back with more info.

I found this but I am still looking. I know I have seen more.

:thanks: Love AllEars. They are always have the best photos and info. :thumbsup2 Looks Popish but with an animated ( duh ;) )theme. The Cars area looks so fun! Might have to venture out of DVC and stay on arrival night. I'm still dying to try Pop too.

This from 2005 I think. Disneyland Hotel lobby tree. Weird how Joshua has a crappy look on his face. :rolleyes1

My favorite Disney vacation breakfast:

Oh gosh I love a good bagel. So many times lately the bagels you find they are trying too hard to be fancy.

I've been looking into the new Animation resort rooms. I need to know square footage before I book. I can't do cramped rooms.

I love your favorite Disney vacation breakfast! Although I'm partial to NY bagels. Hmmm, I think you should plan a trip to NYC just to try some. ;)

Are the considered a Value? I can't tell. Or are they their own category?

I have been to NY once and ::yes:: the bagels were orgasmic! The best part was that we could get them delivered! :cloud9: I ate so much that week. Greek food delivered at 2 am? Unheard of in Utah. Truly. :scared1:

My favorite waiting-in-line-snack aside from the ones Disney sells of course. ;)

I was assuming animation was a value but haven't looked into it. That trail mix looks YUMMY!

That's what I thought too. I wonder if they'll have kitchenettes and microwaves? They will be a good alternative for families who want more room and/or are 5+.

I am thinking the rates will be like the Value suites.

I thought I'd read they'd be similar in amenities to the ASM family suites...which I don't think have either of those. I'd think the rates will be similar as well. Which, if you ask me, is not all that great for what they are, I'd definitely take the FW cabins over those suites and get a full kitchen and a deck. Oh wait, we did!

:thumbsup2 I wanted to stay at the FW cabins during our first trip but the POR was cheaper. Looking back it was only about $50 less a night. We really could have used the extra room. Do you have any photos? I love the feeling of camping and the woods without actually having to camp. ;) The Animation theme looks super fun to me. I like the over the top in your face decor however Michael does not hence SSR. :teeth:

Photobucket is acting funny so no pic for the time being.

I have a few. It was a bit cramped for 6 (since basically 4 of the 6 were adult sized at that time) as it's double beds + a bunk but that's what you get at the values as well. I did not do a good job on interior pictures :( The bedroom was great. While it does only have one bathroom, the bathroom is HUGE and there is a kind of vanity area in the bedroom (shelf with outlet, and mirror). Or at least I think it had an outlet, I know both K and I used it quite a bit for makeup, hair, etc, we just took it over.

"Living Room" this does show how little storage there is outside of the bedroom, you can see our bags everywhere! That wall behind the boys is the murphy bed that folds down. Which does give you a lot of living space while put away.
