Took the time to "scan" all your planning so far. Glad I reserved my "studio" before reading all of your arguments on a one bedroom... :) I have a small 100 point contract and I'd really like to go to Hawaii spring break 2012 so I didn't want to borrow too many points. My son will only be home for a few more years and unfortunately for him he'll have to sleep on a sleeper for the next few years so we can go more often!! :rotfl:

My question for all of you...I need to start figuring out my ADRs but before that... what park I'll be in each day. I have started that but want your opinions on EMH. Do you go to the park with EMH or do you follow the philosophy of not going on that day because it's more crowded?

I also laughed when I thought of having Tuna Casserole on vacation.. and then realized that Easter isn't until April 24... so we'll still be on Lent... I may be eating tuna casserole....:rotfl2:

Have a great Monday holiday!

I hear on borrowing! If we do a 2 bedroom the entire time I will be borred out until 2012. :faint: Hawaii looks amazing! That's worth *sacraficing* for. Funny, you can't really put DVC and sacrafice in the same sentence. :cool1: Man, we are lucky!

We love the evening EMH! :cloud9: We haven't found the parks more crowded but maybe we haven't been during peak season. We've been in May (Mother's Day) and mid September. I am guessing if you go during a peak time it will just naturally be more crowded. There is something about neing in MK at midnight that is just so magical. pixiedust:

:rotfl2: Love it! See we all may be enjoying tuna casserole while at WDW.

Have a great Monday holiday!

Thanks! Just getting ready for Gab's game and looking at Mia Hamm quotes. needed something inspirational for my FB status.

Forgot to add that I went to see the Lion King last night in SLC and it was amazing! If you have the chance to see it, go, don't hesitate, it's amazing!

I also pre-ordered the 2011 Passporter. :lovestruc

I  tuna casserole! Is it creamy? I like the whole sarcastic server thing. have you been to a Dick's Last Resort? Oh my gosh- great servers. We went to one in Vegas. Not G rated. ;)

On a total side note, Gabby's team won all 3 tourney games so it's on to the championship game Monday! :cool1:

I have been to Dick's, the one in Chicago, many times. :rotfl:

YAY Gabby!

Uncle Charlie's Grilled Tuna Casserole - classic creamy casserole with egg noodles, peppers, mushrooms, onions, carrots, and celery topped with grilled tuna steak and crunchy bread crumbs $17.49

It's a whole tuna steak on the top, YUM!

Isn't it the funnest. We went to the one in Vegas and our server made us all xxx hats.

YAY Gabby!

:thanks: They won the championship too. Here is a link to my photos on FB.

:woohoo: I didn't know it was a tuna steak? Yum!!! I thought it would be mixed in like the kind grandma used to make.

She's adorable! Sent a friend request :goodvibes I swear we've played her club before in the past, now it's going to bug me! K is U15 though.

The tuna steak is what makes it! That and the peppers and the bread crumbs, and the creamy sauce is not the heavy cream sauce you expect. Serious YUM. I've tried to duplicate it but haven't gotten it quite right, yet.

:thumbsup2 Got it and accepted it. The KOAS are an independent team just formed last Novemberish. They were Spitfire and then there was a big brew-ha-ha and half the team left. We are U14. Do you guys play the Turkey Shoot in Las Vegas over Thanksgiving weekend?

I am so in for the tuna casserole. It sounds awesome!

Our local Farr's Fresh has a new Pineapple Float yogurt that is the same as the Dole Whip in Disney. :cloud9:

We have something in Vegas in Feb I think...the schedule changes a lot this year as she 1) changed clubs and 2) started HS so basically the club shuts down for fall during HS season so the girls can all play on their HS team. Which has been quite the drama (VB versus soccer, will she make varisty, blah blah blah lol)

Last year it was one in San Diego over Thanksgiving but that was her old club.

Our girls are a year younger so we won't address the whole high school thing til next year but yeah, I hear the teams go basically dormant during the HS soccer season. We have Vegas in November then the State Cup here in Utah in May. I am a little soccered out. DS tries out with Rampage this Wed so may life may get even more hectic. :scared: Thank goodness my little Chloe has no interest in soccer. She is a tumbler. :cutie:

I hear you! It is SO weird with HS now. We don't really have any soccer on the weekends for the entire fall. Evan stopped 2 years ago as I couldn't handle TKD and soccer and baseball so I made him pick btw soccer and baseball and baseball won. Eric played last year but it moves into traveling (rec) and the poor kid is such a disaster at it I just couldn't put either of us through it even though he kind of wanted to play. Which is just as well as scouts is getting so much busier now and that's a much better fit for him.

It's a good thing though as TKD will eat up my fall between competitions and the next black belt test. Dormant is pretty much it, the coaches don't want to deal with conflicting styles which I think is wise. She does have a game this coming Sat but weekend games are the exception, not the rule.

Our state cup is about the same time. I think we have a tourney in AZ somewhere after the holidays as well but am not sure. Terrible that I don't know more but nothing was super finalized last I heard.

Which is fine with me, the out of state ones kill us $$

I agree about the money. We had a tourney in June in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and the amount of money I spent for her to play soccer when there are just as good local tourneys was a joke. Vegas will be $$$ too and of course we have to pop into So Cal and Disneyland since we'll be so close. :littleangel:

Yeah I hear you. We had some major issues with K's old coach over that very issue, skipping some of the good local ones to go out of state and to what end.

The was a brief rumor that we were going to play a tourney in Minnesota. :faint: No way!

:ccat: 462 days!!! :ccat:

This is from Disneyland June 20101 on Screamin". It's of Chloe, our friends' son Chris, me, and DH.

Happy 462!! :lmao: And congrats to your daughter on her win!!:cheer2:

Had a super busy weekend so no time to check in on the DIS! I am still waiting for my DVC contract to close, it has ot be done by the 9th so I emailed my closing agent today. Apparently the seller had some issue and his mailed docs got returned to him. But he remailed and she assured me she would process it right away!! I would love to be able to book my home resort, BWV, for a March trip but would be happy with any back up!!

Kouzina is on the Boardwalk. It's Kat Kora's place. Food has a Greek influence. We went for breakfast and it was a perfect mix of interesting new dishes (sweet potato hash was to die for!) and traditional choices. Might be a good choice for breakfast on an Epcot day, then you just sneak in the International Gateway!!

:thanks: She is so excited!

Glad 50's is getting such good reviews. I am so excited for Rose and Crown. Brings me back to my college days, sitting at the Fish Tale drinking Guinuess. :cloud9:

Looking forward to your review of R&C, that's on our list!

:goodvibes Excellent that her pain is gone. It will make her recovery so worth. you are an excellent DIL for caring for her.

Awww, thanks. I try. She only has sons and the other two DIL's don't really go out of their way with her. She always tells me that if she had a daughter, she'd want her to be like me, she's such a sweet lady. I was leery marrying the baby son in an italian family, but I got really lucky. She's coming to live with us permanently next year.

Sounds like a busy weekend. I used to volunteer for a local DV shelter here. Now that I work with people we refer there, I can't really volunteer. I work on an inpatient, locked psych unit for adults.

What are you selling/making at the festival? I love international fun and fare! :thumbsup2

We weren't selling anything, just had our booth for Domestic Violence Awareness. In the end, it really wasn't the right venue as people are leery of coming out in a public venue such as that, but atleast we were able to pass on information if someone wanted it and did get some donations and volunteer interest.

26 days? :faint: Are you beside yourself with excitement or too busy to grasp that yur vacation is so close?

Both actually! It wasn't until the other day that it hit me that I have a small amount of time to get alot done, but I won't lie, it's alot but so much fun! I love all of the packing and "prep work" that goes into just getting ready to leave!

How was the rest of your weekend? Did you get your list done?

:hyper: The waiting is the worst IMHO. BWV looks amazing! I hope you get to stay "home" too but I am sure all of the DVC resorts have something great about them. Sending pixiedust! pixidust:

Live with you? You really are a great DIL and person. I would allow my MIL to live with us before I would allow my own mother. My mother is insane and not the insane that meds can help but the personality disorder kind. I have mourned the loss so it's all good. :goodvibes

Maybe someone got the info that they can pass on to someone they know who is in a DV relationship?

It was a great and Tuesday is living up to Monday in terms of how busy I feel.

:goodvibes Want to wish L'shanah Tovah to any Jewish DISers. May you have a good and sweet new year. :grouphug:

It has taken me awhile, but I'm up to speed:thumbsup2

All your different options are enough to make me dizzy, but choices are good.

The only place I've eaten at that you asked about was Prime Time. I think you crew would have a blast.

If Michelle's trip overlaps your I have to tell her to find you. They want to get there as soon as their semesters are out, but before Christmas.

:welcome: :goodvibes Glad to see ya! Prime Time is for sure now. I seriously haven't heard one negative thing about it.

Please tell Michelle, that would be fun! :thumbsup2

I asked the kids again tonight and their choices have not changed for which DVC resort. :headache: I might end up drawing straws at this point.
