Kiddy board for a stroller

Has anyone used a Kiddy Board or Buddy Board on the back of a stroller for an older child to stand on at Disnyworld?

I can't imagine those working very well. Maybe for short trips to the mall. I would be steeping all over those things as I push the stroller around. I practically step on the back of most strollers anyway let alone attach a board back there.

I have never used the buggy board but I have pliko stroller which has a standing board in the back. It works great. I have seen strollers with buggy boards and they look very hard to push. The stroller I saw the women had to stand on the side of the stroller in order to push it. After seeing that I decided to break down and spend the money for the pliko. My children are ages 9 months and 3 1/2 and the 3 1/2 loves standing on the back. I t makes my life a lot easier.

I have a buggy board and used it quite often in the past. I used it with a Maclaren Free Spirit. I loved that I could still recline the stroller most of the way for my DS to sleep while DD rode on back. It's a good size area to stand on, and she was able to ride on it well at only about 28 months old. I did find it a bit of a pain to have to keep taking it off every time I folded the stroller.

But when we went to WDW last year, we bought a Peg Pliko P3. Although I could no longer recline the stroller while DD rode on back, it was much more convenient to only have the one piece. The only downside is that I think a child really needs to be over age 3 to be able to balance good on those little steps. The P3 steps are a little easier to stand on than the older Pliko models.

I would say get the buggy or kiddy board (depends on what type of stroller you have) only if you really love your single stroller o rif your "rider" is under 3. If not, you may want to consider a Pliko.

I borrowed a buggy board and used it at WDW when we took one of my grandnephews. He was 6 at the time, and I used the board on my Mac Vogue. It worked fine if I was pushing (I'm 5'4") but DH tended to kick it (he's 6'1".) At times when DGN wasn't using it, we took the board off the brackets and clipped it to hang behind the seat.

I also have a Pliko, but I found that DGN was too big to comfortably stand on the back of it for long. He wore size 3 shoes at the time, and could only get his toes onto the Pliko's step; they started cramping after riding that way for more than about 10 minutes.
