Kiddie areas at water parks

Hi everyone,
My 7 yr old daughter really wants to go to the water parks this year. In particular, she really wants to play in the kiddie areas at the parks. However, I'm reading on the Disney website that those areas are for kids 48 inches and under. My daughter is 52 inches (tall for her age). I was hoping someone could shed some light as to whether the height restrictions are strictly upheld. In the pictures on the website, it certainly looks like there are taller/older kids in the kiddie areas.

She will be allowed to splash in the water areas (maybe) but will not be allowed to ride the slides. My DS is 49 inches tall and was turned away. BB has an area that is kindof between kiddie and adult that she would enjoy, plus all the other slides are super fun and many are not super big (my DD4 went on many of the slides).

Ours turns 7 next week & is just shy of 50", so right in that same wheelhouse. She played a little in the kiddie area at both waterparks (we were there the 15th-22nd), but spent most her time riding the "REAL" rides.

DD11 is right at 60" and was allowed to do the 60" limit zip line at BB once, but was booted off it the next time she tried

The kiddie areas are really aimed toward little ones, I can't imagine a 7 yr old finding anything to hold their interest past a few minutes.

At 7 she will be fine for all the slides , tube rides, wave pool , lazy river and will find those much more fun and interesting.

Thanks, everyone! She doesn't go under water yet, so I think she sees the kiddie areas as "safer" for her. What are the "tamer" grown up slides at the water parks? Her first time on a water slide was last year at the pool at Wilderness Lodge (probably the tamest slide on Disney property!) and luckily, she did not go under water when she came to the end of the slide. I know she will enjoy the wave pool (as long as she doesn't go too deep!) and the lazy river tube rides.
