Just booked Kidani Village. Any suggestions as far as requesting a room in a good location close to everything with not mush walking.Thank you!!
Jerry

One of the only requests I'd make at Kidani is to be close to the lobby. The set up of the building is such that those rooms on the far ends of the hallway are quite a good distance from the central lobby.

"Close to the lobby" will give you a short walk to buses, the public savannah viewing areas, Johari Treasures (Gift shop with re-fillable mug station), Sanaa, the community hall, and the arcade.

I would request something on either the 2nd or 3rd floor. Anything higher and your balcony will be above the tree line, and its difficult to see animals across the savanah. We were on the 4th floor and could only see the animals that were directly below us.

I agree with the PP who said to ask to be in a room close to the lobby. (I'm sure that's what ALL the requests are though as it really is quite a long walk to the end of some of those hallways!)

I do no agree about the 4th floor. From our room, 7872 (which was at the end of one of those LONG hallways!) we could see a LOT of animals al over. We did have a nice feeding station near us and across the savannah from us, so we saw a TON of animals all the time.

It's funny, my sister and I were at AKL Jambo House a few weeks ago and our room was down one of the hallways, past the middle elevators, so it was a walk but not the worst thing possible. On our last day I said to her, "I was about to say that it must be nice to be in these rooms right by the lobby, but then I thought... nah, I'm sure the foot traffic and noise from passing people takes away from the convenience of being near the lobby."

I'd prefer the walk we had to listening to screaming kids racing up and down the halls. LOL

In Oct we requested close to lobby and got close to the tennis courts. It was not a bad walk maybe 5 min.

I was at Kidani for two nights in Dec. Since I own at BWV, and am always hearing of those 'long walks' at BWV, I just had to see how the walks at Kidani compared. They are actually longer than at BW. My friend and I seemed to walk forever in order to get to the end of the bldg. We were so glad we had a room that was midway!!!
I would ask for a room closer to the elevators..that way you'll have less of a walk.
