Kidani Village

Hi everyone, we are arriving at Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village on October 4th, just 20 short days away! Yea!
Can anyone recommed a good room? I know there are no guarantees but I would like to know where some of you have stayed and what is good and what is no so good!

Do you have savannah view? If so, I would request close to the lobby. When I was there in June, the animals stayed in that area most of the day.

Yes we do have a savanna view. If you don't mind, how would you rate the room and the view? I'm really not sure what to except.

I was going to say that exact same thing. I think it all depends on what animals you want to see outside your room. The animals (giraffes and zebras) were usually around the lobby area because that's where they are fed. We said something about that and a few hours later they were setting up feeding stations down by our room. For a very short period of time we were able to see the giraffes eating. Thank goodness we were in our room when they did this.

Also, we requested an upper floor and would not do that again. Lower floor is the place to be. To see out in a distance all you see are the tops of the trees.

I have been wondering the same thing about the Kidani room locations. I haven't seen much posting about the views that people got.

We just booked a std. view studio for next March & I was wondering if I should ask for something on the Jambo end...but didn't know which side is which. Do the std. view studios just look at parking lots only or do some have more of a "garden" type or "pool" view??? Once I book our flights I have to call back & add DME so I thought I would wait & make a request then.

I just called member services the rep I spoke to said the sunset savanna is very good. She listed that along with being close to the lobby. Hope it all works out for us!

We stayed in a standard room studio Aug 22-29. I figured we had the meal plan and were always out, just get the standard studio. The view from the room was the front parking lot, near the lobby entrance. When we were on the balcony there is a large exhaust fan that is loud right next door. I thought the standard view would be better and with the noise you couldn't sit on the balcony. The room number is 7901. Everything else about Kidani is wonderfull.
