I will be staying at Kidani village this year for the first time and I was told that there is actually a free park2park shuttle from Kidani to Universal Orlando and is complimentary as a guest to Kidani Village. I haven't been able to find any information on this. Can someone validate this???

No, there is no such shuttle.

There are three common options for getting to Universal:

- Rent a car. Usually the cheapest option (though remember to figure $15 for parking and $8-10 for gas). You can get a car at the Car Care Center, the Dolphin, or several of the Downtown Disney independent hotels.

- Cab. This is going to be around $30-40 each way. A taxi van can take up to 7 passengers plus the driver, and is the same price. Just ask for a cab at the bell desk in front of the hotel.

- Mears shuttle. This is $19 per person round-trip, plus tip (it might be $20 now; you'd have to call Mears and check). You need to reserve it in advance, you need to go on Mears schedule, and you'll usually share the van with other people. For 1 or 2 people this can be the cheapest option, but with 4 or more the cab is usually better overall.

There are some other options that almost never work out as well. A town car is a bit more than a cab. On the plus side, it's a fixed price rather than costing more if there's traffic, but on the minus side you have to reserve it in advance.

And you can take the bus, but it's super slow and involves changing buses.

No such thing in existence. There are no 'free/complimentary' shuttles from anywhere, on property, at WDW, to US/IoA.
Perhaps the person you heard this from misspoke and meant to say there are free buses to WDW parks from the WDW resorts.

I just checked Mears rate sheet and as I thought, the shuttle is up to $20/person RT from WDW to Universal.

It's the second chart - WDW is Mears's Zone 4, so the rate to/from Universal is $20.

On the third page you can find their town car rates, which are $39-$59 each way from WDW, which is a little more than you'd expect to pay for a cab.

You can use the Orlando bus system (it's called Lynx down there), but it will take you about an hour and a half each way, and require 1 or 2 transfers.
