Kidani - Standard View Studio

Where are the standard view studios located? I was hoping possibly a pool view?

We stayed in a standard view studio at Jambo House in May and had an awesome view of the pool. Would like to have something like that again if possible.

The standard view rooms are on both sides of the lobby. I think they're all within 4 "beads" of the lobby. You have a greater chance of getting a parking lot view than you do pool view. You could put it in as a request, but in all probability you won't get it, especially if the resort is full.

If you would like a pool view, then I would suggest booking at Jambo House. Standard view rooms at Jambo House may afford any of the following views: obstructed pool, obstructed savannah, parking area, pool, or savannah. I had an obstructed pool view in June. The room was on the 5th floor and the view of the pool was obstructed by a thick tree canopy.

At Kidani Village, all of the rooms afford views of the parking area or pool.

The odds of getting a non-parking area view are better at Jambo than Kidani. Moreover, according to member services, there are more designated pool views at Jambo House than Kidani Village.

That's correct, in fact the odds of getting a Jambo House Standard View room facing the parking lot are zero! The only DVC rooms at Jambo that face the parking lot are two of the Value 2BR lockoffs. Most of the Standard View rooms are in the pool area, the rest are reclassified Savanna View rooms.

We had a standard view Studio in the Rafiki parking lot section. From the lobby we turned left. It was about the last room on the edge of a savanna. The fence was at our balcony, but plenty of animals still came over that way.
