Kidani Room Request & Other Q's

We are staying at Kidani in a studio this fall. We have a standard view. I will be alone with a 5 yr old most of the time. We plan on mornings at the parks and afternoons/evenings at the resort (both Kidani & Jambo). Where do you think I should request a room? Near the lobby? Is that where the bus service is?

Where is the laundry room?
Are there any better floor plan maps of Kidani then the ones at DVC News?

For better view request pool view; otherwise it is street/lot view. You could also request near the lobby (which could also be either of the above views) to be close to restaurant, bus stop, store etc. Unlike savanna view rooms the standards do not run the full length of the two wings and thus you can end up with a decent trek to lobby but nothing like the 1/4 mile ones to the end of the wings you could have with savanna view. Note that is true this year. My understanding is that a few of the rooms at the end of the north wing are to become standard view starting next year.

Thanks! View means nothing to me so near the lobby it is. Call me weird but I generally never open the curtains to my room.

We had a standard room last fall and asked to be near the lobby and pool and were close to the tennis courts. Not that far. But not that close.
