Kidani opening day ceremonies?

Does anybody have any info on whether there is going to be a ceremony on May 1?

don't know - since they did one for Jambo House - just don't know if Kidani gets one too.

would hope so - since it is a new building.

Asked 6 weeks ago and was told there are no plans for an opening ceremony at Kidani.

I asked DVC member services and the person I talked to said she had heard they were planning something but she didn't have any particular info at the time.

Our guide told us that they will be having a soft opening this weekend Apr.25-26. No special ceremony. It would be interesting who they pick to be the first occupants. We will be in the world the next weekend,not at AKl, and we plan on going over for a look around our home resort. No stay there until October.

There have been reports from some CM at AKL mentioning that they will be staying in Kidani this weekend. This leads me to believe that it will not be guests staying at Kidani for the soft opening, just CM.

I want to be the first to stay in the room..once in a lifetime chance for me. I can be the first to spill a drink or something in the room

I am hoping for hand holding, clapping or something..I would even settle for your ceremonial yelping

The whole reason I booked the week I did was to be there for grand opening

There wasn't a ceremony for the opening of Jambo House. I doubt there'll be one for the opening of Kidani.

According to DVCNews.com, the soft opening will be for CMs to test out the rooms.
