For me, I get more and more excited with every single picture, comment, blog, everything. I absolutely LOVE it. I think they hit the nail on the head with this one.
All these pictures and info has made me so excited to have choose AKV as my home resort. Jambo does not photograph well and I am sure Kidani has that darkness that prevents its true beauty for coming across in pictures. I was very delighted to see so much more color and a bit more light being included in the design. I figure they created Jambo, and it is wonderful... but anything they wished they could have/should have changed, they would have with kidani.
I am also glad to hear about the refill station. I can live with that. I did notice when we were there earlier this month that the gift shop at Jambo included more grocery type items (milk etc) so I am thinking they will offer much of that at Kidani as well. I like that all resort busses take you back to Jambo which means first on the bus during busy times. Once you get to Jambo and get whatever it is you needed, your urgency will be gone and waiting for the DTD bus or walking won't be so drastic.
I am so excited for my trip in June! We'll be staying at Jambo, but will be eating at Sanaa - and definitely checking out all of Kidani. I can't wait!!!
Wow!! The photos being posted of Kidani make the place look even more beautiful than I imagined. I think the resort is gorgeous and I can't wait to see it in person.
Things look very similar to the "artist's renderings" we've been studying for months so I'm not at all surprised by the look of the lobby -- it's just what I expected size-wise but much more beautiful and interesting in the photos. I love the little wall alcoves that seem to be everywhere in the resort, with the lanterns and sculptures. Outstanding! And I can't believe they carried the theming right into the public restrooms! And I love the idea of the library since it provides yet another place to sit and enjoy the resort in addition to the lobby, the outside firepit (which I didn't know we were getting at Kidani!) and the various animal viewing areas.
I agree that a CS would be very helpful. Fortunately DH and I love to walk so I don't have a problem hiking over to Jambo house to the Mara for breakfast if that is what we have to do and if it's raining we'll take the bus. Not ideal, but we'll manage. As far as Sanaa goes, I'm thrilled to have Indian food at WDW at last and I think the decor of Sanaa is gorgeous!

Three fancy restaurants? I count Jiko and Sanaa. Are you counting Boma? (I'd never count a buffet as fancy...so maybe it's just your choice of words and you really mean 3 TS restaurants?)
I was fortunate enough to tour yesterday (in the first van load of DVC members to be taken over!)......the tapestry is in the library, which overlooks the Sunset Savannah. I have some pictures of it, but can't offload pics until I get home on Sunday....I'll try to post the pics early next week.
I just looked at the pictures from both parts of Jack's Blog and I take back my original comment. Kidani IS gorgeous!
These pictures are fabulous and the details in the decor and colors really show up beautifully.
Can't wait to stay there in October!
