Kidani new animals

I was wondering if there is going to be any new animals besides the Okapi?

There will be river hogs too we learned on our Sunset Safari tour. Not sure if they're currently on the Sunset Savanna or not. We also heard they're named after characters on the old Drew Carey show... Mimi included.

They were there before, they are red river hogs they had about 5 or so of them!

I heard that they want to put the hornbills on the Pembe Savanna. They had to remove them from the Sunset Savanna and they are hoping that it will work out to put them on the Pembe Savanna. I hope it does work out because we really enjoyed watching them on our first stay at AKL.

We love the red river hogs! I believe they were new in December, 2004. We had a savanna tour on that trip and the keepers were jumping in and out of the van quickly because the river hogs were mean and would chase the keepers to bite them if they could get to them in time.

The hornbills were removed from the Sunset Savanna so many years ago that I would consider them new. I think very few people were lucky enough to see them and I can't wait to see them again! They were so much fun to watch.
