Hi! Can anyone help me out with a few questions about the Kidani Grand Villas?

1) Is there a separate entrance to the second floor rooms that is reachable by wheelchair?
2) In handicap accessible, do all bathrooms in the villa have railing by the toilets?

Thanks!!

Yes, there is the second entrance on the second floor. Sorry but I don't know about the accessible part but usually it's only in the master. That doesn't mean the didn't do something different at Kidani though.

Don't know about Kidani GVs but in others only the "master" BR/Bath area and kitchen are H.A.

We were in a GV at Kidani this past September. Two of the people were in scooters. We couldn’t access the villa from the upper floor but could exit from the villa. Also, there were no numbers on the door from the hall. When we checked with the front desk, they said no gvs were able to be accessed via the upper hall.

I thought they used to be able to be opened from the outside. Of course someone inside could open the door for them. It's awkward even if you can access though as if you want to go downstairs you have to exit the villa, go to the elevator and take it down a floor and then re-enter the villa.

Our magic bands and phone apps would not open the upstairs door from the hallway. The front desk said they weren’t allowing access that way. It was my first stay at Kidani so I didn’t question it

You might consider a GV at Jambo. They are all on one floor. Currently, I understand that there are no restaurants or amenities at Jambo except for the pool, but at least it is on one level. (Sorry if you already know this)

I think the OP was planning on the HA being available in the non-master rooms and then the door would be needed. As a couple of us have posted it would be unusual - DVC in general sets up the Master as the fully accessible and often as the only bedroom with any assistance items. Unfortunately I haven't been in a Kidani accessible GV so I don't know for certain it followed that config.
