Kidani - Can I request near pool with a savanna view?

Just curious if I can make both these requests when staying at Kidani? We would love to be near the pool, but also have a savanna view. Is this possible? When looking at the map, I know the pool is on the opposite side of the savanna view. But, I would love to be on the pool side of the resort!

Also, should I request a higher level floor or lower floor to better see the animals? I feel like I have read both on here!

You know the savanna view requires more points than the pool view (standard view), right? It's because you can't really see the savanna very good from the standard views. You could request to be closer to the lobby so you can walk over to the pool a little easier.

But I would never give up a good savanna view for the parking lot and pool across the parking lot.

I don't want a "pool view" per se, I just want to be near the pool...if that makes sense? When I look at the resort map, there seems to be a section of rooms on the left wing that are closer to the pool....I guess that's what I'm looking for.

But maybe I should just request close to the lobby like you said. I don't want the CM who assigns my room to be confused about it either, lol!

The more items that you request, the less chance of getting the room you want. The room assigner doesn't know in your mind what's more important, pool or savanna, lobby or savanna, high floor, or pool.

Plus a room that matches what they think you want has to be available during your entire length of stay.

There are 2 entrances to Kidani's pool, 1 through the lobby and then the other off one of the elevators. I think if you ask for a savannah view near lobby, you are asking for what you want.

I would be very careful with a request to be close to the pool with a savannah view. They could put you on the Pembe Savannah - it is on the same side of the building as the pool. I know some don't mind being on the Pembe Savannah, but for the extra points that a savannah view requires, I want to see giraffes and zebras from my balcony.

Best request will be to simply ask for close to lobby on north wing (wing that pool is on). That would put you close to the pool and would also put you on Sunset Savanna since all close to lobby savanna view rooms are on that savanna. Lower floor gives you more direct sight line to animals that some prefer; upper floor gives you more panoramic view. I actually like both views. Nevertheless, make close to lobby your lead request before listing any others like lower floor.

Good luck with that! Our last trip we requested a room near the bus stop and we ended up way on the opposite end about as far as you could get from it! Oh well, no guarantees, right? The bright side was that we had a "standard view" reserved but ended up with a sort of "partial" savannah view so we made the best of it!

My whole family enjoyed the Pembe savannah! I was thrilled to be on that one for the Marathon weekend this year! What I wasn't thrilled about was that we were the absolute last villa down the hall!

Kidani has good savanna views from almost every angle. There were a few back by the pool that were re designated as standard view some time back, and rightly so since they can only see a corner of that savanna.

For easy pool access I find using the Rafiki elevator to be the easiest and most private. (The lobby route is very public and takes you on a winding journey down to the pool).

I think the question really is which savanna do you want to be on. The names confuse me every time, So I'll leave that up to the others
