Do the table service restaurants have smaller utensils for younger kids or should we bring our own?

Nope! We used to bring our own with us, when the DK's were small.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I bring two sets with me, too. My 5 yo son cannot handle the mammoth forks at the table service places. We're good with the plastic stuff though :lmao:

This has always been a pet peeve of mine, (used to have to bring my own too) but thought I was the only one :confused3 I always gave my little ones small utensils and then they graduated to the larger ones. But, I see VERY few people doing that anymore. It looks so awkward and also hard for them to learn on the big ones. I have even offered guests at our home the smaller ones for their toddlers and most all decline and say no, little "Suzie" has always used the adult size - whatever, but glad to see a few mothers still see the wisdom of "giving them a little help" :thumbsup2

UGH! Well, one more thing to pack in the bag :confused3

We went on the Magic a few years ago and they had smaller ones at dinner, so thought it was worth asking.

We are doing a land/sea deal this time so I guess I should ask the cruise board if they still have them.

Thanks again!!!

Something I NEVER would have thought about but am glad that you did!

That's funny (Not funny, like I'm making fun of you), but I never thought of kid's sized utensils when my boys were growing up! Once they outgrew finger-foods, I just gave them regular silverware. I knew they made those cute little place settings with special utensils....i think one of my boys had a little bowl and spoon (oh, and of course we had the baby food plastic tip spoon) But my boys are 18 & 21, so things were kind of different back then. Back then, the only thing they told you, your baby shouldn't have before they turned 1, was honey too....now I guess introducing different foods too early causes allergies. :confused3 But that's "food" for another thread!! :goodvibes

For some reason, if my son uses a regular fork, the food always ends up flying off the table. However, he could also be doing that on purpose just to watch me pick it up :rotfl:

I'm lots older than your boys, but my parents had smaller utensils for us children then too, as I did with mine ;)

We always take the toddler size disposable tableware with us...just enough for the day plus one extra in case of "droppage."

:rotfl: probably the latter!! I think that's a game all toddlers love.....play fetch with Mommy and Daddy!! That and the "I want it, I don't want it" game. You know the one, where they are tired and cranky and cry for something, and the minute you give it to them, they throw it down and say "I don't want it!!!". :goodvibes
