Can someone explain this more to me? If hubby and I go with our 3 year old, how can we ride the grown up rides without waiting in line twice? And are there only certain rides that we can do it?

You just ask the CM at the front of the line for a baby swap pass, they will explain how it works to you. Each ride tends to be a little different so it's best to talk to the CM about how they want it done. :)

It works like a fast pass. Parent "A" goes through line, asks at the head of the line cast member for a "babyswap ticket".

After the ride Parenet "A" swap kid and Parent "B" takes the ticket to the cast member at the line queue. Parent "B" gets in via the fastpass entrance.

You may want to get a fast pass for the Parent "A" so they do not have to wait via regular line queue. I am not sure if the cast member will let parent "A" go straignt into the fastpass line without having a fastpass ticket and the fastpass be inside the time window.

Hope this helps.

If there is no FastPass for that particular ride they will have you enter through the exit. It works amazingly well and we will be using it for most rides since I am pregnant and we have 2 kiddos needing to ride w/ their daddy.

We utilitzed this ALOT on our last trip. Sometimes the 2nd parent was able to go in the FP line, other times (I believe when FP is not used) we were told to just enter through the exit line.

Sometimes the CM would ask to see our small child, just to verify we were not abusing the system. Other times they didnt question it.

There were 5 of us total. My dh would ride with one dd, then I would ride with the other dd and our 2 year old would hang out and people watch. :)

It took us a while to get the hang of how each ride worked since the way they utilize the baby swap was always different with each ride. It was a little frustrating at first. On a couple occassions we entered through the exit line at BTMRR. We tried that same method on Screamin and ended up having to turn around and go back to the FP line.:confused3

Best bet is to just ask the CM when you obtain the baby swap pass, just to avoid any confusion. ;)

You just explain to the cast member you wanna do a child swap. Then one rides, one stands with your child, and then you swap.

OK, I am a little confused on one thing. Where is the CM (usually) that you get the Swap Pass from? At the beginning of the queue for the ride or as you actually get on the ride or does it differ from ride to ride?

Well we've only used it for IJ ~ DD still isn't tall enough, for that one you get it at the beginning of the line. However we found the the Single Rider option for IJ is the best route to take. I rarely FP that ride, if there isn't a line outside the ride building it's not really worth it.

Ask the CM at the beginning of the line, they will be able to direct you from there.

Usually the actual piece of paper that is the pass will tell you what to do to go back on the ride when you swap, as well.

When in doubt, just ask ANY CM working the queue near that ride. For example, at Indy, you ask the CM who is checking FastPasses right at the entrance-- he'll direct you. At Haunted Mansion, you'd ask the CM right outside the front door, after waiting in the line.
