Hi everyone! We will be taking our two nephews, ages 7 & 5 on their first trip to WDW, along with their mom and grandma in June. Since both the boys have a birthday coming up within the next couple of weeks, we thought it would be cool to give them Disney Dollars, and some type of small back pack, or fanny pack to carry their camera, autograph book, pen and wallet in that they could carry in the park, (so that mom and grandma aren't stuck carrying everything). I've been checking stores in the mall the past few days, and haven't been able to find anything that would be appropriate for a boy. Both my DD's have these small backpacks (about a quarter of the size of a regular, school backpack) which have worked great for our trips, but I can't seem to find anything like them that would be appropriate for a boy. Has anyone here used this type of a small backpack, and if so, where did you find them? Thank you very much for any help you can give.

My mom got my ds one at WalMart that is sized for a 5 year old. It's a navy Cowboys one (they live in TX). You might try there. I also just bought a "set" of luggage from Target for ds. It's three pieces, rolling backpack, duffel, and waist pack for less than $20 shipped. I haven't gotten it yet, but we'll see.

I agree that it's hard to find things for the boys, but everytime I turn around there is something cute and appropriate for my niece!

WalMart, didn't think about going there. For Christmas, we got each of them a rolling suitcase. According to grandma, who watches them once a week, they "pack" their suitcases to go to her house, then inform her they are going home to pack for DisneyWorld!!! Too cute!! I'll have to run to WalMart after work tomorrow. Thanks!!!!

I got my son (and daughter) fanny packs from Walmart. They have never used a fanny pack before, but I thought a backpack would get too hot and heavy in the hot May sun.

I had my son try his on for size today and he really liked it. Thought it would be cool. (he is 10) My daughter is not as thrilled (she is 11) but I told her that Disney does not care how goofy (haha! pun intended) she looks. And that I will also be carrying a fanny pack.

We'll see how it goes.

I was wondering where at Walmart did you found those fanny packs for kids. I have looked there but maybe I am not looking in the right place. Any help? Thank You!!

Another thing I have found at our A&P store (that they also had at the Crayola Factory) were these small backpacks filled with coloring stuff that would be able to fit autograph books and such. You can check there (if you have an A&P or Crayola Store) and see if you find anything :)
