What are some kid-friendly hotels on the beach in Daytona? I've heard that Daytona has become a bit 'rough" with bikers etc. But it sounds like the ebaches are better than Cocoa. Thoughts?:confused3

We are staying at the Holiday Inn on the beach in New Smyrna Beach which is down a few miles from Daytona and is not a crowded area like Daytona is. There's flooding there right now though, so we're trying to decide if we should still go there or change plans.

We just LOVE Daytona Beach. We go once a year and usually stay on the Daytona Beach Shores area as it's a lot quieter. We stay at the "Palm Plaza",right on the water, with a continential breakfast every morning. We always book a suite and it's fine for DH and 2 DD. There is a wonderful ice cream shop "COW LICKS" that's not to be missed. Also, across the bridge to Port Orange is a restaurant,"Auntie Catfish's".The food is great and the atmosphere is unbelievable, over looking the river. There is so much to do and see as well as the beach.Hope you have a great time.:banana::banana:
