I think my kids would LOVE the atmosphere of the Biergarten in Epcot, but I'm equally sure they would not like the German food. I have checked out the menu at allearsnet.com, but I was wondering what else there was for them to eat? Do they have the normal Disney kids food (mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, etc.)? Thanks!

I was there two months ago with a neice and her two DSs, 5.5 and just 3. The kids had no problem with the food although it was strange to them.

They definitely have mac & cheese, they also have bread & cheese for an impromptu sandwich. When I was there the kids were having so much fun on the dance floor they probably forgot their food anyway.

ate the chicken soup, noodles, sausages, cheese, breads, salad, etc. We had a great time and the kids loved it!

I see to be one of the minority when I say that I didn't like this restaurant. Yes, there are some kids choices, but I thought the buffet itself was dippy looking and not very well presented, or stocked. Everything was empty, no ice in the cold foods area, hot foods not really hot, etc. I've seen better buffets our local Big Boy restaurants than this one. Would not return to this one.

If you don't make a big deal about the food being "German", your kids will never think to turn up their noses. We've been eating there since our DS and DD were little and they loved the food! Of course they weren't going to try the saurkraut (heck, my DH wouldn't touch that either!), but the meats, breads, cheeses, desserts, etc. are wonderful! We just say "take a little and try it, if you don't like it , you don't have to eat it!!" That seems to work.
:cool1: Great place. A definite must on your itinerary.

DH and I tried this during our trip in May. We loved it. We are bringing the girls to Biergarten during our trip in May!!! As a matter of fact I am calling for PS this coming Monday!!! :cool1:

i loved eating there! i think it would be a great place if you are a kid....but not if you're a vegetarian!

We just returned and I haven't had the chance to write my dining reviews yet but I have to tell you that the p.s. I had for Biergarten was worrying me. I've always wanted to try it on past trips but chickened out. DH will eat anything but kids and I not so much. We all had plenty to eat. We didn't try everything but we ate enough of the salads, pretzel bread, chicken, and pork to be very satisfied. The kids LOVED the sausage. I liked it but didn't want to test the tum tum along with the giant beer I was :drinking1
Fun time. I'm glad that we tried it.

We did this last summer. I was worried about the kids, also. It turned out fine, though. 2 out of the three ate the the fried chicken dish. This is "on the bone" as my 6 yr. old says. They did not have strips or nuggets. My oldest (12 who of course is "adult" by Disney standards) basically ate only pretzel bread and dessert. However, she did not complain a bit because she loved the show so much. The humongous beer I had helped me forget how much that pretzel bread cost me.

Really, we should have asked our server if she could be billed as a child since she didn't eat...but we just didn't care by the time the bill came! LOL

My 2 kids loved Biergarten. My DS ate hotdogs, chicken, and the pretzel bread. He was having so much dancing, he could have eaten liver and not known it.
