Looking for some current info on kids club age breakdown. Cruise on the dream in Sept
What is the counselor to kid ratio? Ages 3-12 seems like a large age difference compared to the other cruise lines.

Our son did not like the nursery. He went once and never went back. It is a great nursery, but expecting a 2.5-3 year old to stay busy in there is asking a lot. They do get a lot of attention, but he doesn't want that. He wants to run and play, and the nursery just isn't the place for that. disney is missing an area for toddlers. Even if it is confined in the nursery area, and they add andys room or something like that it would give them sooo much more to do than watch TV.Heart82381...did your almost 3yr old enjoy the nursery? My twins will be 2mos away from 3 and their brothers will be in the kids club (4 & 6 yr olds)...I fear the nursery will just be too young for them?? They are used to doing the big kids stuff!! The only benefit I see to the nursery is they may take a nap?? But cannot see them wanting to be around baby swings and cribs.
My son is almost 8, would they let him play in the Oceaneer's Lab?
Nursery = under age 3 (and this has recently been a very set limit, no moving up until 3 yrs old)
Oceaneers Club and Oceaneers Lab = ages 3-12
Edge = ages 11-14
Vibe = ages 14-17 (no 18 yr old allows)
Those in the "overlap" ages may attend both kids' spaces for which they qualify.
Enjoy your cruise!
Can a 12 year old come and go from the Club/Lab without an adult checking them in and out?
I don't know the ratio, but the reason for the spread is because too many parents were complaining that their little darlings in different age categories couldn't POSSIBLY be split up, so DCL merged the club and lab into one.
???
I never complained, but age restricting siblings was a huge turn off for DH & I many years we considered going. When we last looked into it we were happy to see they'd been removed and we booked. Sounds like a good business decision.
