Does anyone here own a Kia Sorento? I'm having such a hard time deciding on a new vehicle. I currently have a minivan and want to go smaller.

I'm currently between the Sorento and the HOnda Pilot. The Sorento is fully equipped with rebates at $23,000.00. The Pilot comes in at $27,000.00 and that's without a Moonroof that the Sorento has.

My dad's mechanic has nothing but bad stuff to say about the reliability of Kias. Apparently they break down pretty easily. Hondas are more expensive but they're built to last.

Friends of ours have a Pilot and like it a lot. We're a Honda family and will probably get an Odyssey or Pilot next year.

The Kia looks nice but I don't know anything about it.

Do you have a sunroof now? DH always wanted one, and our Accord came with it. I'm driving that now, and I never use the sunroof! The sun is too hot on my head. :(

Had a KIA SPortage. No way would I have another. Traded it for a Honda Accord. Never been happier.
I would go with the Honda. Its worth the extra $

........................go with the Honda. My son a fully certified Master Automotive Technician swears by Hondas and he works for a Nissan dealership. His 2nd choice is Toyota. If you look at Consumer Reports the top 3 in terms of reliability are consistently Honda, Toyota, and Nissan, followed by Subaru.

We have a 2004 Accord and just love it. My daily driver is a 2001 Toyota MR2 with just shy of 200,000 miles on it and I've never put any money into it other than routine maintenance like tires and breaks.

Choose wisely and you won't regret it. (Keep in mind that no manufacturer is completely immune from producing a lemon.)

I'm an insurance agent and kias are always more expensive to insure . What you may save on rebates you will be paying to your insurance company!!

In addition the sportages and sephias when they are in an accident f a l l apart .

It will hold to true for the sorento Im positive of that.

Call your agent and ask what the insurance rates will be for each car.
