Keys to the Kingdom vs. Cirque du Soleil

Cirque! Although we haven't yet seen La Nouba, we've seen three other Cirque productions and they were all magnificent! Keys to the Kingdom is a great tour, but entertainment of a different nature. Cirque is breathtaking and lots of fun! :thumbsup2

Never done either, but if someone was giving me the choice, and paying for it ;) too, I'd say the Keys tour just because I've wanted to do that for years.

If you are a early morning person or mid morning person and a rabid Disney fan and you want to know all the history, go backstage, and walk around Magic Kingdom for 3 hours learning everything about wdw go on KTK. I really enjoyed it immensely we got to go on two rides (POC and HM), see CM's practice the Christmas Parade (this was in November) and had a lovely lunch at Columbia Harbour House. We also got a nifty KTK pin.

If you prefer your entertainment at night and you want to be completely enthralled and entertained. If you want to be awed and amazed. If you want good, clean, entertainment that will make you exclaim outloud and provide you with the perfect ending to a day, go to Cirque. Whenever we can afford it we go to Cirque it's so rich in detail that you see new things going on in different parts of the stage everytime you go, even though it's the same show.

We probably won't do KTK again. Either way, it will be a blast

Ooooh, tough choice.

Alaska Catdog has hit the nail directly on the head. Since I can't put it any more beautifully than he/she has done, I just second what he/she said in its entirety. :thumbsup2

We loved the KTK the best it's the "magic" of Disney. The other wouldn't be in our vacation book.

work some overtime...get a 2nd job do both!!!

I am working my bum off to pay for our next trip and we are doing both...

KTTK our first full day there
Cirque the last night we are there...

OK so I can't help it...its my last adult vacation and I'm going to make every ounce worth it...

(ok last adult vacation until I get a house and straighten out my finances again...but for now this is my last big hurrah!)

I don't think you're going to get a better answer then you got from Alaska :thumbsup2 I have done cirque and am going back this Sept. It's a great show.

never done Keys but have done Cirque, cringed at the price but after the show, it was worth every penny. Do it again, probably not if it was still the same show but would if it was a different one. Thinking on doing the Steam Train tour, maybe this trip, kinda early in the am and a good bit of time but its only once in a lifetime treat.

Well, I've seen Cirque, and loved it...really thought it was worth the money. I' planning on doing the KTTK tour in Dec...I've always wanted to, but no one else in the family has been interested, so will be doing it on my solo trip.
May do Cirque again down the road though. It's truly incredible.

We've done Cirque and plan on doing KTTK, we've done other WDW Tours and my choice would be KTTK. Of course we love all things Disney so this would be super cool for us. Cirque is very nice but not really "Disney" per say.

OK, OK!!! I'll try and do both. Now thinking of ideas to raise the cash. I've seen if any of the locals want their chimneys swept and many do - I knew the kids would come in handy some day :teeth:

If we are able to do both, do they have to be booked well in advance or can they be booked nearer the time and or turn up on the day/night?

i would choose cirque any day over the keys tour- to be honest, the tunnels under the kingdom smell like rotten eggs and aren't much a sight to be seen and even though you see a few cool things, it's a lot of walking and it helps a person to lose a little bit of the disney magic
