We are thinking of doing this on our trip in December this year. Has anyone done it and is it worth doing? (Sorry if this has been asked already somewhere)! Do you get any exclusive freebies or anything?! Also, can it be booked online or will we have to phone?

Sorry for all the questions!!

Ive done this tour, be prepared for a lot of walking and standing in the sun, there are not that many opportunitys to sit down apart from lunch and the ride you go on, you get to see some back stage areas but not a huge amount- its a very good tour though!

Its about 4.5-5 hours long, you usually do 2 or 3 rides-from Jungle Crise, POTC and HM, you are taken on by your tour guide who gives you some "secrets" about each ride. You get to go backstage and see the floats ready for the parade(looky, no touchy! :rotfl: ), you get lunch at the Columbia Harbor House, you get an exclusive pin which cannot be bought in the shops, and you get to go in the utilidors, which for the uninitiated amongst us is the underground corridors. I wouldn't recommend this tour to any Disney Virgins-it would take away so much of the magic, but to us hardened vets :lmao: its fascinating. Its a fair bit of walking but thankfully there are lots of "comfort stops" (yeuch I hate that phrase) and you do get to see a whole other side of MK that you probably never noticed before. Oh, and you can ask ANYTHING whilst backstage-but you have to take an oath not to reveal secrets .....

I obviuosly cannot reveal any secrets (or I would have to kill you) but I will say this-Cinderellas castle does not unscrew and dismantle when hurricanes are forecast....

I guess it depends on your guide. We took the 8:30 tour. We sat down quite a bit while talking and our guide always found us shade when we were talking. We went on the Jungle Cruise and Huanted Mansion. The backstage part didn't last that long but I found it very interesting. You get lunch at the Columbia Harbor House in a roped off area. We recieved a key pin that is exclusive to the tour. When you check in they offer water and coffee and you can pick up what you want of those.

It's a fabulous tour - I'd highly recommend it - but as Hobbes says, I wouldn't do this on a first visit.

There are a lot of excellent bits of info given out during the tour showing the level of detail that goes into the park - it's incredible. The backstage sections are interesting amd a rea; shock from the on show area.....

:thumbsup2

we have done this tour as well really enjoyed it
:cool1:

Thanks everyone, I think we are going to do this tour. It will be our 8th visit so we don't mind having a bit of the magic revealed!

We've done KTTK tour twice and I can't recommend it enough. As well as the tour you get to ride to attractions and have a complimentary lunch in the Columbia Harbour House. We also received lovely little pins and name badges.

Have a fab time.
