Vicki and I really fancy doing this in October, I was just wondering if any of you have done it and what you thought of it.

Any info you could give me would be great, Thanks :goodvibes

Tony and I did this in September. We were on the 8.30 tour, but there was also one at 9am and 9.30. Everyone is given an ear piece to hear the guide, though the groups are quite small - ours was 16 and our guide was Cory, who was very, very good.

We were shown around Main Street, Adventureland, Frontierland and rode Haunted Mansion and Pirates of Caribbean without queuing. We went backstage behind Splash Mountain and saw where the floats are stored etc. Had lunch, included, at CHH and last of all went down into the Utiladors. At the end we got a lovely pin. There were at least 3 loo stops.

It was worth EVERY penny/cent and we got a discount with DVC/PAP. I won't tell you any more as it will spoil it for you, but we learned some AMAZING things and had never realised quite wht detail went into the planning and how much of a bizarre sense of humour the imagineers have!

If there's anything else you want to know just ask here or PM me.

Hi sue
we done it as well :thumbsup2
we had Rea as our tour guide ,

How old is Vicky ?
There is an age limit, 16 I think!!!!!!!!!

Myself and my 14 DS done the Mickey's milestone tour last year which was very good as well
He was the only teenager and the only boy there
I thought he would have gone mad at me but he really enjoyed it

The Tours are relly good
wouldn't mind doing one the the Epcot ones next

Enjoy

Thank you Ladies :goodvibes This sounds very good, I think we will book it, it sounds great.

Gill - Thank you, :goodvibes thats great, when you book it can you select a time/day or do they just allocate one for you?. Also can you tell me do you pay for it when you book it or when you get there?

Jackie - Thank you :goodvibes Vicki will be 16 in August :thumbsup2 ,which is why we want to do it this year as she will be old enough. We really wanted to do it last year but she was'nt the right age.

Thanks once again

It's a really good tour Sue, we loved every minute of it! We got to find out some great trivia that you wouldn't normally hear. We got to go to the front of the queue for 2 rides- HM and Jungle cruise. We had a nice lunch at Columbia Harbour House. It was the highlight of our trip that year

Anything else?

Wear comfy shoes!!!!

I think we were offered a choice of times - though not actually certain of that!!! Age!!! You have to pay up frony but there is quite a good cancellation policy .

I booked the tour when we were over there a day or two before
it was in mid Oct

Try and get an early tour before the park is open
it is really funny watching people running up Main Street trying to get ahead of the crowds
and it is lovely to be walking around before anyone else

We did this tour in Aprils and loved it. DH was a lilttle nervous that it might spoil the magic but I think it actually made it better. Back stage we did see charcters without their full 'uniform' but I think they are careful not to ket you see the furry ones without their heads. We saw Peter Pan and one other I can't remember. Our guide as Rea who was fantastic.

WHAT!!!??? Do you mean that the characters, furry or otherwise, are just people in uniforms? That's just not true.

Stop spreading these malicious rumours.

We saw Minnie and Mickey, not only without their heads, but actually smoking - they waved and called Hello!

We've seen it twice ~ It is a fantastic tour Sue, well worth the money.

Thank you guys for all your feedback and help :goodvibes

It sounds great and we will definatly be doing it this year :yay: :yay:
