Keys to the Kingdom tour - typical finishing times?

Hi guys, I'm after some info from people who have been on the KTTK tour at MK. We're visiting from Australia in October and my cousin who lives in Orlando has kindly offered to watch the kids for a few hours while wifey and I do one of the tours. The Backstage Magic tour sounds great but really will be too long, so I'm looking at doing the KTTK tour. If we go on the 9:00 tour, will the tour typically finish at 2pm (5 hours after 9am)? My cousin has to dash back to pick up her daughter from school and I think has to leave our hotel (Grand Floridian) by 2:30 at the absolute latest.

I suppose I could talk to the guide at the start and just organise for us to leave the tour slightly early if convenient. We really appreciate her offer and don't want her to be late on our account so might leave the tour even earlier to account for crowds and monorail waits.

I did the KTTK tour in 2014. The tour has a duration of 5 to 5 1/2 hours. You may not be authorized to leave the tour at your convenience as some significant segments, especially in afternoon, are in backstage areas, so you must remain with the group. In a such case, you may have to leave early than you would like (i.e., before going into the last backstage segment, which is the underground utilidoors…).

I believe a first visit is scheduled at 8:30am in the morning, so you would have more time between the end of the tour and your cousin departure.
