We are thinking about doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour during our 6-day trip. I'm wondering if it's better to do that at the beginning of the trip or at the end (of course if we are lucky enough to choose). Or it doesn't matter? I was wondering knowing all the stuff they'll teach/show you will make the later visit to the park more entertaining or will ruin the magic. I would like to hear your experiences from your past visits!

I think before might be better! You learn a lot about Walt and Roy Disney and cool stuff about the park. You also get to ride a few rides :) Magic Kingdom is still my least favorite of the parks, but the tour made me appreciate it a lot more!

We went back in March, and the day I had picked just so happened to be the first day that the parade was back since 2020. Because the parade was at 11:00 then, we saw SO MUCH backstage that you normally don't see on the tour! We saw dragon Maleficent, a bunch of the floats, characters waiting to do the parade--magical! I'll never forget that tour. It was a big highlight of an otherwise kinda disappointing trip (I learned that I can't really function outside when it's 90+ degrees anymore, and was mistaken that March would not be that hot lol).

My husband and I went on the KTTK tour one time, and we loved it.
We picked the first tour of the day. We were admitted into the park before it opened to register and wait for it to start. We were free to wander around the empty MK main street area. It was such fun to actually see what was in the store windows and to take our time and check things out. It was also a little strange to have the place be so empty.
The tour was wonderful and our guide was really into the history of the MK. It is a walking tour, so if you can't walk the 4 hours (I think that was what it was) with little break time, that would be something to consider. We ended with a tasty meal which was really good.
I would do it again, but in another park. There is so much to see and learn; things you walk by while in the park and don't pay attention to. It enhances the experience for you. There is no way it would interfere with your experience in the parks. Have a great time.
