I know they say 16 and up. I have a 15 year old and 16 year old. The 15 year old REALLY wants to go on the tour. How do they check IDs? Heck, my 16 year old does not even have a drivers license yet. We could have the 15 year old be the 16 year old for the trip (making sure they swap magic bands for the whole trip).

Everything I've read it's not really limiting for teen. My 15 year old is the disneyphile of the family and I would love to give this to him for his birthday.

Thanks.

Though this is an interesting tour, it definitely ruins the "magic" a bit. It's not as glamorous from the other side. It might spoil the fun a bit. I would wait until he is the recommended age, but that is just my 2 cents.

From the HUB
Any minor without proof of age and photo ID will NOT be allowed on the tour.
School/Student ID is NOT an acceptable form of ID if it does not have the date of Birth and Photo on the ID, however Student ID plus Birth Certificate (or Copy) is acceptable.

State Issued ID (does not have to be Driver's License) or Passport are also acceptable forms of ID.

How do they check IDs?
Photo ID's, and very strict.

Guests must be 16 years of age or older and have a valid photo I.D.

Not the best life teaching lesson for young kids. But your call as a parent for sure.

If I remember correctly, when we went on the KTTK tour, each person had to show their photo ID when we checked in at City Hall the morning of the tour.

I last went on this about a year ago, I didn't have any id checked but we also don't look like we were too young to be on the tour.

We went on the tour last week. They did not check our ids but we are grandparents and obviously older than 16. They did check our Magic Bands. it is a great tour that I would do again!

Of all the rules that Disney has, this is one of the ones they enforce most strongly. I've witnessed underage guests being turned away.
