I am considering taking the Keys to the Kingdom Tour in August. I see that it is 5 hours long, though, and I'm not sure I can stand walking in the August heat for that long. Is most of the tour outdoors or is a substantial part of it inside? My August strategy is usually to be in and out of air conditioning pretty frequently. :sunny:

I would say a good part of it is outdoors. I would guess at least half or more if memory serves me. We took it in September and we were so glad when it was done. It was very hot. I don't regret doing it but since we visit so often I wish we would have picked a cooler month. The tour was fun and we did learn alot of information. In the midddle you take an afternoon break inside at Colombia Harbor house and have lunch in a "reserved" area which is cool . All in all we had a good time.

It is primarily outside. The only time you are inside is when riding an indoor attraction (ex. HM, POC), a short time in a backstage area (I think we went inside?), lunch, and when you are in the utilidors. I would say a good 3.5 hours is outside.

I did it last August. They do give you bottled water at the beginning and our guide was really good about making sure our stops were at least in the shade. It is hot, but I would do it again in a heartbeat, it's a great tour!
