Have you ever considered partaking in the Keys to the Kingdom Tour?

Here is my review of our experience from May 2015.

I know that many readers do not want me to spoil the information from the tour, but if you have a specific question feel free send me a personal message.

This is the tour for you if you and your guest really want to know just a little more about the Disney organization. You will fully understand what this tour means within the first hour, and no you do not get any keys. A lot of people complain about doing a lot of walking. I did not really feel that we walked that much. We started out by the flag pole, we went over to Frontier land, and Liberty Square, did some walking backstage, stopped for lunch, and went back towards the front. I could lean on a wall or against a beam if I really wanted to. We did take a couple of breaks during one of which I purchased some ice cream! The lunch was okay. You did get a soda, choice of entree, and fries. There was not enough time to get in line and by something else. That is pretty much all I can say without giving anything away. Definitely give it a try if you are a hard core Disney fan, and you would like to learn a little more.

We did the Keys tour in 2001 -- and we got keys! To be specific, they gave us each a Keys to the Kingdom Tour collectible pin for our Disney Pin lanyards. It was a nice gift considering the cost of the tour and I'm a little sad to hear that they apparently no longer hand out keys.

I read a report from april 2015 that said the key pin gift was still part of it. We've tried to take this tour a few times and finally got it booked for our next trip, while not getting the pin won't take away I was kind of looking forward to it..

We got he KTTK collectable pin when we did the tour in March and I love having it! Sad if they don't give that anymore.
Also FWIW I felt the lunch at CHH is enough food. It's a normal CS meal minus the dessert :)

We got the special Key to the Kingdom pin last month....now have three of them!!! Love them. Our tour was fantastic. I think there's quite a bit of walking...you're on your feet for about 4 hrs...that takes into account sitting for lunch, on the attractions and a sitting when you get a chance. And lunch? Because you get to choose what you want for lunch, from a set menu, before you start the tour, you shouldn't need to worry about there being time to get in line and buy something else...but perhaps dessert was desired. We never made a stop (on any of my three tours) that would allow me to buy an ice cream. I guess I could have and then caught up with the group.
Here's how my tours have gone, pretty much anyway. Left the Flag Pole area, then walk down Main St. Went down one of the little 'alleys' off Main St and talked about various stuff. Then off to Adventureland. Rode Jungle Cruise. Then, more chatting as we walked. To FrontierLand, where we exited by SpMt and went backstage. Saw stuff back there, went into the Utilidors...walked in there for about 30 mins....stairs up and down!. Then over to Haunted Mansion...rode that. Lunch in there somewhere. We did have bathroom breaks as well as times when our guide found spots for us to sit and relax a bit...it was over 95 degrees last month...heat index of 105!!!

I did this tour last year with my mother. She was worried about the walking -BUT- she loved it and was fine with the walk! We enjoyed the lunch. We met my family after the tour and kept going! I would do this again in a minute! I am just waiting to take my kids. We did it last June and it was very hot

I am so sorry for not being clear. We did get a key pin, but the tour is not about "unlocking" the Magic Kingdom, but rather the keys that make up the kingdom. You will understand when you go on the tour; I just don't want to give any info away.

I certainly can appreciate that being enough food for most people, but there may be others who would like a little more.

From the scheduled start time of the tour, how long does it last? Where are you at the end of the tour? Just thinking about FP+ scheduling.

Great review. We did the tour a few years ago and really enjoyed it too. Our guide was nice enough to try and always find places where there was a wall for us to sit on, or a bench, etc when we stopped to give information.

The tour starts and ends at City Hall.

What rides do you get to ride during the tour. We took the Marceline tour in Feb. and rode HM, Winnie the Pooh, and carousel of progress.
