We are a family of four cruising next July. I have reviewed the shore offerings from Disney and none of them looks promising. We are traveling with two boys one of which will be under 10 at the time of our trip. I would like to take the kayak excursion but because if age limitations it is not a choice. Any ideas.?.

We were on the Magic in October 2004 - I have two teenage boys. We rented bikes and rode around Key West for hours - lots of fun and we got to see everything! The bike rental place was located as you got off the ship - and the price was reasonable - under $50.00 for the four of us.

Anytime you want to know something about Key West, just drop Norm and I a note - We are 4 generation conchs and Norm was a postman for 40 years in Key West - I have all types of information on Key West and will share with you -you do NOT have to book any excursions in Key west - its a 2 X 4 island and everything is there at Mallory Square where the ship ties up - you can do all your planning then or get the information from us - all it takes is a large manilla envelope, self addressed and with about $3,50 worth of stamps on it - Norm and I have been trying to get back to Key West since October and this is the longest we have ever been away from home, but we hope to be able to go next month after Mother's day.
Hope the above helps

We were in Key West with the Magic in November 2004, and we did the BEST excursion... :cool1: Go to www.islandwatersports.us and check out their 26-mile island tour on jetskis. We (DH and I in our 30's) went with my brother and his three kids (ages 4, 8, and 10). (DH and I had the 10-year-old with us on our waverunner.) My sister and her husband also did this with their 5-year-old. We all agreed that it was our favorite excursion of the whole cruise.

We reserved this ahead of time, which I recommend... They have a limited number that they can take on each tour, and if you don't go earlier in the day, you won't make it back to the ship in time.

We booked an Snuba tour, which is real easy. You have a snorkel mask, and a regulator with a 20 foot hose attached to a floating raft with an air tank. You have to be at least 8. Snuba Key West is the name of the company. It was a great way to spend some time underwater.

You could always just spend the morning on the ship with the boys before you dock at KW and then take them to the club after lunch. While they are having a good time there, you & DH can take the excursion that you would like to.
