:dance3: AWESOME!!!!!!!!! :dance3: I love Key West. We went in 2006. We stayed in the Southern Most Hotel on the Beach!!! We did the Harry Truman's winter home tour as well as the Ernest Hemingway home tour!! :thumbsup2

I live in the Key's, if that means anything, and these are my recomendations.

Stay at the Pier House or the Marquesa.

Eat at Michaels, 7Fish and El Ciboney (for local Cuban food).

If you're partiers, and most KW visitors are, do the Duval Crawl.

Do visit The Hemmingway House and do the oh so hokey Conch Tour Train.

Grab a drink at the Schooner Wharf and The Green Parrot (real KW) ... The Parrot has great musical choices.

Visit the Garden of Eden Bar if you're crazy enough to go to a real clothing optional BAR!

Have fun.

Take a charter boat and go snorkeling.

Go kayaking.

:goodvibes

OK, stay at the Pier House. They are so wonderful there.

The Mel Fisher museum is cool. So is the sunset ceremonies at Mallory Square. The Dry Tortugas is fun. If you're there on a Monday, go down to Turtle Kraals and see the turtle races. There's tons of great restuarants down there. I can't wait to go back.

We just got back from Key West, and I second El Ciboney!! It was sooo good, we almost went back for a second trip!

We loved Bahia Honda state park, I would recommend the drive. The Dry Tortogas was worth EVERY PENNY, and was even too choppy/cold to snorkel. It was amazing. I have to go back some day and snorkel! I would recommend the Yankee Freedom, it cost more than the other company that goes, but I was so impressed with the staff! Plus, the boat for the other company didn't look nearly as nice as the Freedom II.

The Hemingway House was so amazing. We really enjoyed it.

Key West is such an amazing place, have fun!!

Is the Hogs Breath Saloon still there?? I still remember that little place!!!

When we stay in Key West we like to stay at the Ocean Key. The address is 0 Duval Street - they have the sunset pier and are in the heart of everything. http://www.oceankey.com/

dont forget the circus acts and sunset festival at mallory square. They start around 4pm or so.

How cool!

I highly recommend the Blue Heaven Restaurant. Lot's of funky Key West charm and an amazing brunch menu.

The Hemingway House is a must-do, too.

Have a great time!

lucas-We are staying at the Ocean Key so I am glad to hear you l ike it.

I guess the Hemingway House tour is at the top of our list. I will also look into Mallory Square.

Any other ideas are appreciated as I will print out this thread and bring it with me. We fly out tomorrow. I came home from work Friday and the suitcases were out on the bed with a card and the print out of the Ocean key resort. Of course there isn't really any time to spend hours on the internet like I do when going to Disney so thank goodness for you all.
