Key West Hotel?

Wonder if anyone can help me?

We're looking for a Key West hotel for our trip later this year. We're looking to spend no more than £150 per room per night. (sounds a lot but it looks like they are very expensive down there!)

I thought I had found the perfect hotel but I thought it had a beach as it is on the sea but its more like buses then green murky sea

Are there any clear blue sea beaches? Are there any hotels near them?

Any recommendations welcome

We've stayed in the past at the ocean key resort - good location with a pier but not on a beach.

I've also stayed at the key lime inn - little historic cottages but again not on beach.

Have heard southernmost is supposed to be nice and that is beach side.

TBH key west doesn't have fantastic beaches.

We have stayed at 3 Key West resort hotels.

Southernmost, nice & friendly but our room was poor.
Ocean Key Resort & Spa, near the North end of Duval street with views over the ocean - very nice hotel but outside your price range
Marquesa Hotel, small but well appointed and extremely well located, walking distance from shops, restaurants and the centre of town - very nice but again probably over your budget

Depending on when you go if you can get a decent deal on the bottom 2 hotels you are on to a winner.
