Hi All!

Wondering if anyone call help shed some light for me? I understand that if I bought a Disney package, they will put my park tickets on my Key to the World room key. I purchased a package with only ONE day passes since I have left over park tickets from a previous visit (which I am planning to use and finish on my upcoming trip). If I don't plan on using the ONE day park passes on my World room key, will they still be valid/available to us in future? Or will they be cancelled when we check out of the WDW resort at the end of our trip?

Many thanks!! :goodvibes I find the Canadian board so helpful! I've been ignored on some of the other DIS sections :confused3

Yes, as long as you haven't gone into a park on those one day passes (naturally), they are good until you do. I used some from a year ago this summer, and still have one or two to use another time. :goodvibes

Well it depends on what kind of ticket. If it was a base ticket then it has to be used within 14 days I believe (others will correct me if I am wrong). If you had a non expiry ticket then it would be good for future trips. Probably the best thing to do would be to call Disney Guest Services and ask them.

No, mine are base tickets. It's no different than buying a one day pass at the gate and then not going in (not sure why you'd do that, but.... ;) ) or buying a one day ticket from a broker. You will activate the one day pass at the turnstile, so you are good to go. The use by 14 day tickets are Magic Your Way multiple days, which again are "use by 14 days" after being activated. Since the ticket is activated at the turnstile, she'll be fine. Disney does like to confuse us with their tickets, sometimes. :)

Thank you all for your feedback and/or advice! These are the standard one day MYW tickets but we want to use them next summer. It sounds crazy but it's a long story as to why I don't want to use them this trip!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!:goodvibes

You can ask the front desk to strip those tickets from your room keys and put them on something else you can put away safely. :)

Not a problem.

I know a lot of people on the DIS have been able to do this. We had APs when we went in September on the free dining plan. I asked (at All Star Music) to have the one-day tickets taken off of our resort card and put on something else. The girl I was talking to said it couldn't be done. Sigh . . . Ours are still on our resort cards and I'll use them up another time.

When they say "I can't do that" ask for a manager. Lots of front-line folks at Disney don't know these more complicated 'steps'. It can be done, but it IS specialized knowledge! That is to say, it's something that the more experienced CM's know. :)

FYI --- just returned back from our trip and was NOT able to get our park tickets stripped off our World Key cards. I tried asking for this at 3 different locations -- our hotel, MK guest relations, and EPCOT guest relations. Was told consistently by MANAGERS that they are not able to do this.

As I mentioned to you in the other thread.. this CAN be done.. But it DOES rely on getting properly trained CM's.

It's frustrating because it shouldn't be that way. Especially if, for example, you chose to upgrade one of those tickets? Would they force you to keep it on your expired room key? No of course not. But this just highlights why you need to find a CM who is well versed in this process.

Regardless, hang on to those room keys, they still have valid ticket media on them if you didn't use them for park access!

It's absolutely amazing how often this question comes up. Knox is right. We had 4 individual days on 4 KTTW card which I had transferred to 1 pass just last week. No problem to do, but the CM I worked with had to ask another one how to do it. Free dining packages will cause this to happen to anyone who has an AP. I wonder how many of these tickets go unused because people don't know they have them? Great money maker for Disney.
