Anything with a magnetic strip should work.

You don't have to have a magnetic strip on the card for the lights to turn on. It's just a toggle switch at the bottom of the slot. Any credit card sized plastic card will do. I used my old library card on one cruise (as in old enough it didn't have any of the "newfangled" electronic abilities that many cards have now).

I used a wristlet and DH put them in his pocket. We each carried one of our kid's KTTW as well.
