Is this "key to the magic" real - if you stay at a Disney hotel, can you charge things (meals, store purchases, etc.) to your room when you're in the park? Has anyone done this? :confused3 I saw it on the website, but then someone told me that it's just at WDW.

Yes, you can definitely do it at DLR. I took liberal advantage of this - less to carry. I don't know if they put your tickets on your room key as well. I've always had an AP whenever I've stayed on-site.

Don't forget about package service! You can send packages back to your resort to pick up at Bell Services (usually the next day.) Great to avoid schlepping some of those large purchases!

Hope you have a blast!

That's awesome. I'd rather pay a single (albeit humongous!) bill at once.

Thanks!

DLR has not yet managed to work the tickets/Hoppers into the Key to the Magic (I am sure that they will do that soon, though), but yes, your room key can also act as your charge card throughout the Resort for meals and merchandise, and you can attach whichever credit or debit card you prefer to use to the Key. If you choose, they will also attach charging privileges to all the keys connected to your room, so that the whole family has that option, or if you only want charging privileges on one Key in the group for security reasons, you can opt for that.

Used it last year and worked well. My DGF absolutely loves this.
