Someone had posted a thread yesterday about the KTTK tour. I can't find it now. I was just wondering the price of the tour, how long the tour takes and what you will see. I would really love to do this with my DH.

Here's the basic info again:

Unlock the door to the secrets behind the creation and growth of the Magic Kingdom on this 4 1/2 to 5-hour walking tour. Enjoy stops backstage and at favorite attractions as you discover the remarkable history of the Park and hear intriguing stories about Walt Disney, his visions, philosophies and amazing accomplishments.

Location and Time: Everyday at 8:30, 9:00 & 9:30am. Tour starts at Guided Tour Garden adjacent to City Hall just inside the Magic Kingdom Main Entrance. Guests should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start time.

Duration: 4 ˝ - 5 hours

Cost: $58.00 per person with lunch included (Theme park admission is required.)

Restrictions: Guests must be at least 16 years old to attend this program. Please advise guests this is an outdoor walking program. Guests are required to have a photo ID in their possession during the program. Large bags and cameras are NOT permitted.

check out allearsnet.com for detailed info and tour reviews and reports (click on "beyond the parks" on their home page, then on the "tours" heading on the right side of the next page). To answer your questions briefly from what I recall of our December tour , it costs about $50, lasts five hours (starts at 8:30, 9, or 9:30), and you get some inside scoop on the parks and a couple of rides and a brief tour of the underground utilidors. Lunch is included. The tour reviews are your best bet for detailed info.

DH and I took the tour last year for his b-day. I was in my wheelchair since walking the parks the days prior had aggrivated my RA. I truly enjoyed it. I will not be giving out any inside secrets, but only to let you know that it was well worth every penny, and leading us to discover future tours around WDW. Also, they took good care of me while I was in my wheelchair! :earsgirl:

One more thing. If you haave an AP you get 15% off (making it $49.30). I'm going on this tour in May and am really looking forward to it. All the reviews I''ve read on it are positive.

It just sounds so cool. I have read the reviews on allears and i can't wait. I am debating on telling my DH or trying to decide if I should make it a surprise. I am an absolute Disney fanatic and would love to know how things really work. :flower:

I have to say...I am much more into Disney than my DH is. This is the 3rd time in 3 years that we are going back. He goes along with it because I love it so much. I know that while we are there he enjoys it, I can see it on his face. Besides...how could you not enjoy WDW!! Do you think...even though he is not as into it as I am...that he will enjoy it just as much? :earboy2:

I went on this onf Feb 2nd of this year and it was very imformative. We learned soooo much about Disney and the MK that we didn't know. It was really well done and if you have a chance I recommend you do it.

Well, you know EXACTLY what magic WDW holds... :wizard:
But taking a look at the serious side, there are lots of husbands who do not feel the same joy as their wives. I have seen it here on the DIS boards. I am fortunate enough to have a man who shares the passion as much as I do (except he doesn't show it as much "pre-trip" as I do). But the first day (we always go to MK) as we take the ferry (we ALWAYS take the ferry the first day. Sort of a ritual we started. It is amazing seeing the castle as we come across the lake), the look on his face is priceless...every single time. We look forward to WDW to "get away from it all". That plus the "magic"...and we are done for! Now, getting back to the tour. Yes, he will/should enjoy. It will be something new, and he loves information like I do it sounds like. Hey, you could at least try it and see, right?! Good luck with this!

I just booked this tour for our up coming trip and saved 20% because I have the disney visa. It was under 100 for two adults!!
