Key to the Kingdom Room Key Picture (have they changed lately)?

silly question, but I haven't been to WDW for 17 months now and was just wondering if they have changed the design on the Key to the Kingdom Room keys yet... we always save ours for scrapbooking but they have been the same forever and ever it seems... just wondering if now that they are changing the key systems at the resorts if maybe they have a new design also? does anyone have a picture of the current room keys? thanks

Don't know if it's changed in 17 months..but apparently there are different colors?? Ours was gold/yelow, but saw plenty of blue ones floating around. One TS cashier acted as though she had never seen a gold one before.

When we asked about the color difference, all we were told is that it was just whatever stock they had when it was printed.

EDIT: Oops...just Googled it and found it was Gold because we were staying at club level (the famed GF 2021). Guess some things just can't be answered by cast members. LOL

We were there the 1st week of October, and our KTTK were different than in June. They were a darker blue color, and had just an outline of the castle, if I remember correctly. I didn't keep the card, but did notice that they had changed since our last trip. They had been the same light blue with the castle for more years than I can remember.

It's still the castle, but a slightly different shade card and the castle is more of an outline, so yes it's a different card. Ours had the new RFID embedded in it (couldn't tell though) for the new resort electronic door locks. Just tap the card to your lock and your door is opened!

The gold ones are club level...woops, just noticed you posted that.

The gold club level card we had last week was different than the club level card we have had in the past. It's a lighter shade of gold. It worked out great because my AP is on a gold key to the world card, and the lighter shade room key made it easier to tell them apart this time.

I don't think SSR has a club level, but that's where I saw the gold card. I've always wondered what the difference was.

Glad to hear about tapping your room key to the lock. My kids would drive me crazy putting the card in/out, in/out and missing the green light to open the door.
