Key Dates for Canadians, MDE, FP+?

Okay...based on some recent skimming, here is what I think I know. Looking for somebody smarter than me to correct what is necessary!

• Trip Booked for April 3-13, 2014 through WDW, complete package with Room, Tix and DDP
• Magicbands will not be shipped to Canada, will pick up at the resort.
• I will not be able to link my tickets to my reservation until I receive something from Disney (not sure what)
• Then, once linked, I will be able to choose my MB colours?
• At what point can I make FP+ attractions given the above?

Mostly I am confused about when I can pick MB colours and make FP+ selections...can someone make it simple for me?

If you buy tickets in a package from Disney, your tickets will automatically be linked to your magicbands so that for example if you buy 10 day tickets, you will be able to book your FP for up to 10 days. You don't need to receive anything.

As of right now, you can customize your bands and make FP selections around the 60 day mark. The 60 day mark is not an exact science though. I wasn't able to customize bands until my 54 day mark.

So you should be able to customize your bands and choose your FP around Feb. 1st. (Unless things change) Just keep checking your MDE around this time.

And who knows. By April it could be a 90 day mark to customize your bands.

I admit I am not up to date on this at all.

We have room only booked for March Break, we have old tickets from previous stay that we will use if we go to the parks. Will I be able to get personalized MB and pick the fast passes in advance or will I have to wait until I get to the resort and add my old old tickets to the reservation?

I can see the park tickets showing on my MDE, but I cannot do anything with them. Knowing that I can customize the MB and pick my FP+ around the 60 day mark helps.

One question...I am going for 9 nights, but only bought 6 days worth of park tickets.

Does that mean I have to pick the first 6 days only for FP+ or any 6 days, accounting for some non park days in the middle Has anybody run into that yet?

You will be able to book 6 days worth of FP anytime during your nine nights. So you can take a day or two off in between days if you wish.

We were able to customize our MBs this past week, at around 85 days.
When you're there if you feel you want to add more days, its not that much more. And gives you more flexibility with dining in parks. Unless you have other plans of course outside of WDW.

I customized my MBs last night at 102 days out. And it said that MBs would need to be picked up at the resort, but then it took my Canadian address and said they would be mailed and to make sure I remember to pack them. I think they will be mailed - I know they have been mailed to other Canadian residents earlier in the testing phases.

I got MB's in August, October and I will get a third set in December. They are not mailed to Canadian addresses. You will pick them up at your resort.

My Canadian address is listed as well when I customize, however the bands will still be sent to your resort. I also received the standard email reminder for me to remember to pack my bands. But they are always shipped to your resort.

We are still 142 days out and when I click on the Manage Magicbands, it takes me to the page where it asks me to link new tickets to the reservation...which I cannot do as part of the package (the 6 day tickets show up elsewhere on the MDE).

So, still waiting.

Try using the ap and scanning them. Worse case call MS and they should be able to help.

I had a mixture of a PAP, undercover tourist and airmiles redeemed tickets and they all linked using the ap.

Who knows what time frame(s) Disney is using for these new programs? Our (adult) daughters are going on Feb 14 and they customized their MBs mid-November and were notified to choose their FP+ reservations earlier this week.
