I have read that some people wear their key cards on lanyards around their neck. This seems like a good idea to me, especially for my DD. In order to do this, do I need to pack a hole puncher? If so, punching a hole in it doesn't affect its usability?
Thanks!

Wal-Mart has them for $.97, you can find them by the wallets.

I bought mine at WalMart too. They were in the jewelry department on a peg board with other wallet type things ( i.e. clear picture holders) They had a little plastic case that you could just slide the card into. I figured they would make great Easter basket stuffers!

Guest services has a hole punch.

Ask them about the hole, though. I know that a hole punched in the card is an indication that the card does not have charging privledges. It also has to be "turned off" at Guest Services.

We bought a lanyard at Wal-Mart for around $4.00 that the card slid into, it didn't require a hole.

The only time the younger kid's need their KTTW card is when leavi9ng the ship (or if they have a soda package) My younger kids did not have access to them at all - I was afraid they would lose them. My hubby just kept them in his wallet in the safe for when we went to the islands. That worked much better for us.

Do they have a DCL one on board with a clear plastic sleeve like the Wal-Mart one?

DCL lanyards are available on the ship. I can't recall the cost, but it was worth it. Mine is hanging in my office, just a nice reminder of the trip.

another thing they have at WDW (dunno if on the cruise) is the retractable holders- As I used the retractable part for my name tag at work I took the plastic part and stuck in on the bottom of my lilo lanyard :)

The lanyard onboard cost $8.00, but came apart rather easily. Ask your TA about getting a Disney one before the trip, we got one for booking in May and it was much sturdier and came with a plastic slot to put all the cards in. Bring a magnetic hook or suction cup hook to hang them up at night.

You can also find the $.97 Walmart ones in the fishing section, promoted as "fishing license holders" and made by Shimano. I don't know about the others, but these close at the top like a ziploc bag (by pressing with your fingers, not a slider) and are watertight, so you can carry some cash in with it too when off the ship, along with your KTTW and driver's license.

Thanks for the tip mobetsy. I like the water proof idea!!

My Disney Cruise Line Lanyard fell off of my neck in Cozumel with all of my cards in it! My husband had to leave me and my dd's at the security gate, go back to the ship and get me new everything. Thank goodness I had my passport in our room safe, or I might still be in Mexico! I had to get a new driver's license when I got home. So, just be careful. The clasp is the problem, so if you could find one with a different clasp, you'd be better off.

I think I saw Disney ones on Ebay. Not sure how much, but it's worth checking out :D
