Well....I haven't been there since 1996 you know so I really think it was about time, hehehe.

I'm looking forward to it already - so much has changed since that trip, a whole new park, re-vamped resorts, Downtown Disney now exists!

Of course, my trip to DL was my very first trip to a Disney park <i>ever</i> - I rolled up at the gate about 10am, bought a day ticket, no research, no books, no nothing - it was just another theme park afterall, right?

Guess I've got me some BIG research to do, huh? I do hope you guys all know I'm relying on you West Coast experts to look after me in the coming months...

I, ah, uh, well I'm a Moderator on the Cruise Board - I really think I have a <b>moral obligation</b> to cruise on the Magic whilst it's visiting, don't you? For research purposes, naturally

As I say, I'm so looking forward to getting a proper visit to the <i>original</i> Disney dream - strange...it's feels like I'm stepping back into the light after a loooong visit to 'the dark side', hehehe.

Penny - you will love it! In fact Mum loves Disneyland more than WDW. If you are going to the West Coast there is so much to do! San Diego, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Grand Canyon etc, etc. We are doing DL for the 17th July 2005 birthday and then the 23rd July Magic sailing.

We may be able to squeeze a trip in to DL next year. It can't be until fall of next year, since we just got back from WDW this month. So, I am setting my timers! It makes it more of reality for me, and hopefully DH will get it set in his mind that we are going!

We all look forward to giving our advice and opinions to both of you. As far as the cruise goes, congrats, it is on such a limited schedule, I envy all those who get to go

Oh yeah MJ! You can count on it - there is <b>no</b> way I'm travelling 6,000+ miles to your neck of the woods and passing up the chance to see that infamous hair

Wendy, I would just love to do the whole California thing again, I did this in '96 when I spent a week in SF (which I loved by the way) and a week in LA. Not only was it my first Disney trip, but my first trip to the States - and I've not been able to stay away since Unfortunately (!) I am planning on doing the 2 week West/East re-positional cruise so I'll only be able to add a few short days on at the start for DL as I've not the vacation time to add on any more

I'm thinking then that I'll arrive either the 16th or more likely 17th August 2005 and I cruise on the 20th - I'm a little bit excited

I am so jealous of you being able to do the 14 day cruise - what makes it worse is that I could have got that cruise for $200 more for the two of us than the 7 day cruise! Unfortunately as a teacher in Scotland the dates are impossible. So just have to do the July Mexican cruise - isn't life tough!
