Just got back from a week in Disney and thought I'd share my dining thoughts:

Ohana's:
We ate here last year and absolutely loved it. Went back this year with high expectations! The wontons were ok. The sticky wings were great. The shrimp were unpeeled and uncleaned, so the little poop traces groosed out my GF. The potatoes were REALLY good. The meat was really disappointing. Both rounds of steak we got were dry and fatty. The sausage may have changed, but I remember loving it last year and it was not my taste this time. The pork was the only thing I actually finished eating.

Main Street Bakery in MK:
We grabbed breakfast here on the way to the Keys to the Kingdom tour. The breakfast sandwhich's were really good and so was the latte we ordered.

Biergarten Epcot:
This is officially my favorite disney place. I have been here probably 8-10 times and have always enjoyed the food. It hasn't changed much (if at all) in the last 5-6 years, but that's fine with me. I really enjoy the salads, meats and sausages. I would recommend it to anyone who likes German type foods.

Breakfastasaurous at AK:
The buffet was fine, nothing amazing, but not bad. The characters were really funny. They not only interacted with everyone, but they chased eachother around and played jokes on people. The waiter was also fun and made us laugh several times. It was however REALLY dark inside, so dark that I could hardly see my food.

Beaches and Creme:
We ate here twice. Burgers are great, Chicken Sandwhich is good, ice cream is great. Got to witness two kitchen sinks being prepared while eating at the bar, which was fun.

Artists Point:
This was the biggest let down of the entire trip. I have read so many great reviews on this restaurant. Disney promotes it as one of their "signature" dining locations. I've read the menu on allearsnet and was really looking forward to it. The ambiounce felt like a small step above whispering canyon. The waiteresses were dressed in something very similar to the whispering canyon attire. Honestly, the street sweepers around the parks dress more upscale then the waitstaff at this restaurant. So basically, the space and ambiounce was a let down. The food was good, but not Grrrreat. I started with the portabello soup, which was very good. I then had the buffallo, which was also good. What bothered me, was that for a total bill of 120 bucks and the hype I was expecting, it just wasn't great.

Alfredos in Epcot:
The waitstaff were really great. They were very professional and it was fun to listen to actual italian being spoken. We didn't have high hopes for this meal, based on the mixed reviews I'm used to reading here. My gf did not like the alfredo pasta at all. I guess the egg noodle and sauce is just not what she's used to. Oddly enough, we eat in the North End in Boston (the italian district) frequently, and she loves the alfredo there. So, I don't think it's an issue of authenticity, but more of regional variation in how alfredo is prepared. The lasagna I had was pretty good. I had the tomatoe and mozzarella salad to start, and it was pretty bad. They serve literally two small pieces of cheese and two small pieces of tomotoe for 8 bucks. It only had olive oil on it, which was upsetting for me. I'm used to a balsamic mix of some sort, so give it more taste.

So that's it... This was about my 12th trip to disney and I fear that I may be getting sick of Disney food. Perhaps I'm becoming more of a food snob? :) Hmmm :)

to what DH and I think, especially about Ohana's and Artist Pointe. We were disappointed with both.

We've been to WDW 7 or 8 times since 2001, and the last time we were there, we were not as impressed with Disney food as we first were. We thought we were getting too picky, too. Maybe we are, but we'll continue to go to our favorites (like Le Cellier) and enjoy the parks just as well.

Good review! I agree with you on Ohana's, we felt the same way! :earsboy:
