We are leaving for Disney in two weeks:cool1: I am listening to Kevin's review and wondering where the pictures he mentions are posted. Can anyone help me find them? I have an ADR for Cape May but am not sure if my children 7, 13, 17 will enjoy it. Pictures help them (me) prepare. I am taking the kids on my own this trip. I thought it was a good idea but when I tell my friends they shake their heads and make a strange face, like this > or this:scared1: The more I can plan the more at ease I will be and that will hopefully translate to the kids. I can't stress out since my husband will not be there. He just started a new job and doesn't want to take vacation but wants to give us the trip he couldn't the past year because of a job loss. The DIS website is such a treasure chest of information. Thank you for helping control my trip anxiety!

I took photos of the menu cards at each station on the buffet in order to help me remember what was being offered.

These photos have not been posted anywhere.

Don't over plan too much. When you have everything mapped out ahead of time, you run the risk of getting so stressed when things don't fall in line like you planned.
The best part of your vacation will the time you get to be together. Take the time to stop and smell the roses...

Thanks Kevin I can relate.....in large multilevel parking lots I take a picture of the elevator door with the letter or number with my cell phone so I can remember where I parked when its time to leave.

Thanks I am trying to tread that thin line between compulsive and organized...I have built in naps each day (for me not the kids ;)) and do have a timeframe for each day and have ADRs.

A question about ADRs....I need to have some flexability so each day I have an ADR and a backup ADR, as long as I cancel as soon as I know which ADR we will use is that OK? I know it is hard to get some ADRs (I had a hard time myself) but if I don't have a backup and we end up taking a nap instead of going to the park I don't want to get stuck with a TS credit since we are on the dining plan.

I wouldn't mention you have backup ADRs on here. People will linch you (and for good reason). Wonder why people have to call 6 months in advance to get good ADRS? Because of people like you who double book. Cancel one set now, and give someone else a chance.

Is there a alternative to holding double ADRs if you are not sure of your schedule? If I didn't have the dining plan I wouldn't be so worried but I don't want to waste a TS credit.

I wasn't trying to sound harsh, but there is always a choiice of table service restaurants available without ADRs. They may not be your prime choice, but you won't waste your credits.

Disney reservation agents have been known to cancel double booked ADRs if they notice the conflict.

You can always use the resort front lobby concierge to book ADRs for you during your trip, as well. There are alternatives. If you're at the Magic Kingdom, and all the restaurants are full, you might be able to get a meal at the Grand Floridian Cafe or The Wave at the Contemporary. The table service place around Epcot or the Studios that would be a good alternative for availability would be Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club resort. And Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge would be my other off the beaten path place to eat.

I personally don't condone the double booking of ADRs because I think it gives false occupancy levels at restaurants for those who want the ADRs and can't get them. But that's just me, and I'm not going to berate anyone who does double book.
