I'm a girl who's fairly well off and if I were a single , successful and "wanted" 21 year old male who is purportedly "pure" there is no way in the H-E double toothpicks I would be getting married at 21. I think he's a moron and will wager heavily he's divorced before 25 years of age.

I completely agree, and thank goodness so does my pre teen daughter, she just doesn't get it, in fact while other girls scream in delight, she screams in disgust. lol

I wish i could scream in disgust i would get in trouble cuz a few of my siblings like stuff like that (just because everyone else does imo )

I really don't understand this mentality at all. It's like some kids don't want to like them because everyone else does. "I'm too cool for the Jonas Brothers"

With all the crap out there to listen to, I am thankful that my girls like them.

I was engaged at 20, married at 23 and my DH is still the most amazing person on this planet IMO. I went to college etc but never woke up next to a man before my wedding night, and it was awesome! We'll be married 16 years this November and I've loved every minute. If 50% of marriages end badly who can say which will make it and which will not. I don't think age has anything to do with it.

Having so much of a history together, really growing up together, has created a pretty strong bond. I wouldn't change it for the world. If Kevin was lucky enough to find the right person early on they yay for him!

You are right about this, but there are a lot of pessimistic people on the DIS.

I know people who were celibate all through college until they were married, married their high school sweetheart and are still married. These things happen. More power to them!!
