Keurig...you can't DO BETTER?

That was the whole point if my post. There are non disposable solutions for most of these things. I may not be able to eliminate all waste, but I can minimize it. So I will continue to maintain that kcups are wasteful. If you are wishing to minimize your waste from tampons & pads, there are plenty of options - diva cup, Luna cup, the keeper & mama cloth. Just like there are rags, cloth napkins & cloth diapers. Am I saving the world? No. But I fail to see how reducing my waste & energy consumption doesn't help at all.

Re: fast food plastics - good point. I do reuse containers that take out comes in. We rarely get fast food, but now I will think twice about the little packets & whatnot.

Do you fly to Disney or drive? And all the electricity and water that the park uses that you enable through participation. How is a cup of coffee (and the carbon foot print it creates) different from the carbon footprint of an amusement park vacation? It can't be justified by saying 'there are alternatives to Kcups', as there are plenty of fun, local vacations that would not create such a large carbon footprint as a trip to Disney.

Getting much more dramatic compared to when? The years in your lifetime? 100 years? 1000, 1,000,000? The Earth is billions of years old.

Now since we've had some cold winters with lots of snow, they have to change their terminology from "global warming" to "climate change". But whatever name you give it, it's still poppycock. Is the climate changing? Of course. The climate always has changed and always will. Weather often comes in cycles. In reality during 7000 of the last 10,000 years were warmer than it is now.
Ask your parents or grandparents about huge storms in their childhoods. One of the big differences now with for example hurricanes, is that larger populations live in coastal areas, so more damage is incurred.
Meteorologist Brian Sussman’s calculations in his book “Climategate” show humanity’s share of the greenhouse effect as only .9 of 1 percent. To suggest that kcups are causing climate change is ludicrous!

I think we can all agree that nobody is perfect in their pursuit to "save the world" there's always something more we can do but don't/can't for whatever reason. To one person it might be diapers or tampons to another it's k-cups. To each their own. Unless your one of the perfect ones you shouldn't judge others. Your hard limit just differs from someone else's.
