I've been doing a ketogenic diet for the past year. It took my body a few months to get accustomed to the change as I was always a heavy carb eater previously. For reference purposes here's some stats on me: 38 y/o male 6' tall 180 pounds Been running for 6 years Currently running 5 days per week (3-4 miles x 4 days and 8-12 miles x 1 day) Work out doing light weights/high impact aerobic like P90X) 7 days per week Consume avg. 30 net carbs per day Avg. training pace for long runs 7:40-8:00mm I'm registering for my first Dopey (Jan. 2018) and I'm studying up on low carb training techniques. I'm seeing some awesome studies showing how training on low carb diets and a carbo load prior to race boosts many athletes performance. Reading studies of elite athletes are great; however I wanted to see if anyone on the board had some real world experience with this and your results?
