DS loves burgers witrh ketchup.

Les Chef de France...
Steak haché Angus, champignons et Bearnaise, salade ou frites - 1/2 lb. Angus hamburger with confit onions, mushroom duxelle, tomatoes, and Bearnaise on on a brioche, salad or french fries $15.95

DS would keep the bun, the hamburger, mushrooms and french fries.

Can he also get ketchup for the burger & fries ?
Or will our server be motified ?

Also - Remy :thumbsup2
We have a 1:30 pm ADR on a Saturday.
Do you think we will see Remy at 1:40 pm ?

Thanks!

One of our three boys likes the same - he's now 11 years old and he's ordered this from the kids' menu for years:

Croquette de Boeuf en Brioche - Ground beef steak in a brioche bun, served with French fries $8.00

It's a burger and they bring ketchup to the table. He loves it!

Not sure about the specific times for Remy, but we've had 1pm and 1:30pm reservations in the past and seen Remy every time. We've avoided Sundays because we've read that Remy does not appear then.

Thank you !

He will order off the kid menu and then get an adult dessert :goodvibes

Here's the problem you will have with Remy. If you're not actually seated in the restaurant, you don't get a visit. If you have to wait longer than 10 minutes past your ADR time to be seated, chances are you won't see him. With that kind of timing it will depend on if you have to wait to be seated, and if you do, possibly on what area of the restaurant you end up being seated in.

2nd this..He starts his circuit thru the dining room at the stated time and moves through.Once he goes thru he does NOT generally backtrack. Some people have had luck with him coming back around, but the vast majority of the time he does not.I would book an earlier time if you can.The last 2x I have eaten there, I have been seated WAY AFTER my adr time and missed him

Who cares? :goodvibes If that's the way he prefers to eat hamburgers, he should be able to eat it any way he wants!

I asked for ketchup at LeCelliers!! :rolleyes1 But you know what? If I'm going to pay almost $50 for a steak, then I'm going to eat it MY way, the way I know I'm going to enjoy it the most. For the price, I expect it to be cooked to perfection to my taste (medium rare), and if I enjoy my steak the most with ketchup, then, dog-gone-it, I'm going to eat it with Ketchup!! :goodvibes If it's an insult to the cook, or shows a lack of "refinement" *shrug* then so be it...life is too short to worry about what other's are going to think of your choices.

I'm trying to decide if you're kidding or not....

My 28 yr old cousin who lives in France puts ketchup on everything, including his filet mignon!
Ketchup a Les Chef's, no problem, Remy not a guarantee, good luck!

Must be with the whole not having the name of the restaurant spelled correctly thing, and the $50 steak thing....

Just because I added a s to LeCellier and exaggerated a little on the price of a 42.00 steak? I kid you not!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I love ketchup with steak...it's what my tastebuds crave! If that's the way I like my steak, and can't fully enjoy it without it, then why shouldn't I, as a paying customer, eat anything with it that I want? :goodvibes

Oh, and Beasleyboo...you can get ketchup at Remy...I know first-hand from our anniversary cruise last May.....same reasoning goes....if we pay over $300 for a meal (with wine paring), why shouldn't I have it my way?! :confused3 Of course, they don't bring a bottle of Heinz to the table....it comes discretely in a little dipping cup. :snooty:

I meant that given the time of the ADR and the wait, they might miss Remy's (the rat with the chef's hat) appearance at their table!

I always order the burger/fries at Chefs de France lunch. I always ask for it plain (just burger and bun) and some ketchup! It's really good!

They will give you ketchup, don't worry! And as a person who has waited tables for a long time, I doubt the server will bat an eyelash at the request. You'd be amazed at the condiments some people ask for. A couple of months ago someone asked me for maple syrup, which they proceeded to pour all over their haddock. OK so I DID bat an eyelash at that one...

Oh, I forgot that about the little Rat that restaurant on the Dream was named after!! :goodvibes Sorry about the confusion!

. . . I'm going to pay almost $50 for a steak, then I'm going to eat it MY way, the way I know I'm going to enjoy it the most . . .

1) You are perfectly within your rights.
2) People can ruin a good cut of meat any way they wish.
:(
